Since you are unfamiliar with this process, do these steps one spark plug at a time. Locate the spark plugs; remove the wire's connecting cap from the plug; remove the spark plug from its threaded hole (use a dedicated spark plug wrench or socket of the proper size - may be a 16mm, 5/8", or possibly but unlikely 13/16"); check the electrode gap on the new plug and install it in the threaded hole; follow the plug wire back to its individual coil (opposite end from the spark plug; remove the old plug wire and replace it with the new one of the same length ensuring the same wire routing; replace the plug wire cap on the new plug; move on to the next and repeat.

ck the compressor clutch for noise, for oil leak check for oil at base of head to block, Subaru head gaskets have a tendence to fail and leak oil, and sometimes coolant

Sounds like you blew a fuse. look in your manual or on fuse cover for listing of which fuse is which and check to see if that fuse is blown. When more than one thing stops working its usually a fuse because they tie a few components to one fuse, so that's probably the issue.

not sure where the filter is ? but check under the car on drivers side to see if the smell is there also

a few things to check. coolant level, boost/vacuum leaks, improperly adjusted tps, bad maf.... air box full of dog food

I would jack the car and located the drain bolts on the bottom of the fuel tank usually located under the rear passenger seats. Make sure the area is free and clear of flammable material and objects. Also, work in a well ventilated area to avoid headaches and wear proper protective equipment. Good luck.

Probably pulled the fuel pump relay or fuse, but you did not hear that from me.
