What is an AIS Motor
I have never heard of an AIS motor on a jeep or any other vehicle for that matter. A PCM is the computer that runs the cars Electronics. Without the PCM the car doesn't run.

1989 jeep cherokee skipping problem
it may not be the problem but check the earthing strip or put a new earth wire from the engine block to the shell or negative on the battery and see if this stops it, can happen if the earth is damaged or not connecting properly, as parts not getting the correct voltage.

.1989 Jeep Cherokee rough running problems.
if the distribuitor was not new or fully reconditined then it is possible that it is still at fault
have the ignition timing checked witha timing light to ensure that it is correct ( most operate at the 10-12 degrees btdc at idle speed of 850 rpms
with the timing light operating , if the light flashes all over the place , that indicates a distributor shaft that is bent , worn or has worn bushes as the light has to flash consistantly on the one spot to be a good distributor
doesn't say much for the mechanic not to try to fix a problem that you have paid for but relates to his workmanship

What causes too much co in youre exhuast
If you have a fuel sensor check that out. Could need replacing. Also when was the last time you changed the air cleaner filter. A dirty air filter will cause that as well as it can't breath properly. Just some ideas.

Why does it just stop running?
Crankshaft position sensor is a very common cause of this problem. The vehicle will shut off without warning at any time if the signal this sensor produces is interupted. The vehicle may restart immediaetly or may start again when cooled down. Eventually it may fail completely and the vehicle not restart at all

ok, 89 is a very old car, sold all 2 of mine. early XJ jeeps. (AMC )
the 89s have this junk french ECU. called RENIX google this pos.
no scan tools fit it, is why i dont like it.
93 up are good jeeps.
my guess is , engine dont run, why not give full inputs to the tech.
like that. so i can be on same page.... yah think?
but ok, ill play this game.....
Easter egg hunts to nowhere.
normal fuel pressure is 31PSI.
if zero pressure we check 12vdc at pump cranking.
if zero volts at pump cranking. then check fuel pump relay.
all 4 pins, (ask for checks )
the fuel pump relay has 2 fuses. one is ignition fuse link F green
and the pump fuse is G orange.
the full schematic is at alldata.com anyone can look, pay fee.
of fuel pressure is ok and injector dont inject well that is a longer story, that i can answer easy, so ask.

Ac not cold cool but not cold
Have you recently added R-19 refrigerant to your Jeep? The 1989 model base requires R-19 Freon, not the newer R-134A designed for the newer cars...Has your stock system been re-fitted for the new R-134A refrigerant? If cool but not cold, the system could be low...or need a clean/new orifice tube...Try for a free inspection in your area...

How to remove tire on a 1988 jeep cherokee 4x4
unless you have or knows who would have done that it will be just rust around the wheel studs and the axle centre section
use a liberal dose of a rust penetrate, and hit the rim from behind to loosen it off the axle.
