2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L overheating

it's overheating, for sure, is coolant levels dropping? cold checked at rad cap? "pulled over and found a hose to cool the radiator and hose near the thermostat," i can not understand this statement"above" if it overheat only parked, check fan for full ops. if overheats moving too, wont stay cool moving fast then: bad rad cap bad thermostat , they have 7 year life says STANT. (and why) belts slipping (to water pump) rad cores blocked (IR thermo gun it) ask water pump impellers rust 1/2 gone? all this assumes no coolant loss, if you have loss, tell where., where it leans ground passengers toes (foot well) engine oil pan? milky oil if A/T TRANS, check it for milky too.

My 2005 Jeep liberty horn blows for no reason last night at 3 am it went off and the only way i could get it to stop was disconnect batt

double posted. wow. when it beeped, did you look in the display (RPM) it tells you why?? the VFD or EVIC tells you why.? (rpm dial) do you park with the alarm on , on the street or a garage????? if in a garage park and turn alarm off. it does turn off the alarm. did you bump the panic button? eg its under your pillow?? LOL or the cat chewed it? read your other post, it's got lots of answer there. to find cause. if the horns stays off, if alarm is off then its not the horn button. as many will say. there are 4 things that run the horn. button horn alarm door locks. panic.(part of alarm but not totally) on my car, i have most themn turned off, like the lamp flashings. and the horn chirp is off on all my cars, all i get is the door lock click sounds, nice (neighbor friendly) so turn all all that and see if the horn still fails. that panic button can fail, if mind did id pull the fob battery and then use FOB 2. to see of the FOB fails. your other post said driving this one says, parked. 3am clue.

I have a 2005 jeep liberty. none of the 4wd lights on the dash light up when selecting the different 4wd modes, stopped working today. can anyone please help me with this

usa? not diesel? why are you in 4wd? snow, ice, off road, do tell. not sure what lamps are dead, no photo by you. are you talking parking lamps dead in dash? called illumination or the mode lamps. ???? where on the dash, the main cluster? where? TRY TO BE EXACT. do you mean shift console lamps, ????? those are on the dimmer feed. the best answer is get car serviced or scan it, see if there are errors. to the 4wd system etc. we cant do grinds here, we deaf and blind and.... find a shop , that can find LOCATIONS. of noise only That works, ever. grinding in all modes of use, parked, neutral. driving, hills, gears. ?????????? do you have any warning lamps glowing ,driving? the lamps if the 4wd lamps are dead. tell me you are not using 4Low mode on pavement, first. most times fuse are first, 2007 this changes but 2005 there are 2 fuse boxes, cab and eng bay. ON PAGE 166 in the oper guide lamp 6 dead, 4low? lamp 19 FULL TIME , dead or stuck on?????? or the switch bank dead? command trac or select trac 4wd.? NV241 or NV242? 2 options day 1. here is my guess, you are using 4wd incorrectly do tell what tires are sitting on. the me it car is command or select trac opted and all lever selections you tried. EACH 4wd mode has rules. rule one stay out of 4-low. unless off road the opr guide is here if lost. see the word secret , here. http://jeepdied.com/books.html command trac, 4w is not for driving on ice free pavemenet Comman trac is part time 4wd, (the word part meas, ice or dirt) select trac, is full time, (never in 2w low) 4H works on pavement even dry. page 240 in your op guide. The rules on the 2 boxes are totally different.

How do I align the clock spring in my 2005 jeep liberty. We changed the heater core and now my horn and cruise control does not work and my air bag light is on.

read the manual, yet, ? the service manual. be like first .... do you want dead air bags, in an accident.??? the clockspring runs many things. step one is shut down air bags. or risk personal injury. chapter 8L covers this and 8O, and is not trivial at all. easy to take anything apart , harder back' I have no idea at all what you dismantled, not a clue. and is key to the answer, for sure. installing CS is chapter 8O (oh as in Oscar) service manual. INSTALL. WARNING: To avoid personal injury or *****, on vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the supplemental restraint system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, airbag, occupant classification system, seat belt tensioner, impact sensor, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the supplemental restraint system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment. CAUTION: If the clockspring is not properly centered in relation to the steering wheel, steering shaft and steering gear, it may be damaged. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/CLOCKSPRING - STANDARD PROCEDURE - CLOCKSPRING CENTERING). Service replacement clocksprings are shipped pre-centered, with the release button engaged (raised) and a molded plastic shield installed over the release button. This release button should not be disengaged and the shield should not be removed until the clockspring has been installed on the steering column. If the release button is disengaged before the clockspring is installed on a steering column, the clockspring centering procedure must be performed. NOTE: Before starting this procedure, be certain that the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position. (1) Carefully slide the centered clockspring down over the steering column upper shaft until the two integral plastic latches on the back of the clockspring housing are fully engaged through their openings in the steering column lock housing (Fig. 17). (2) Reconnect the two instrument panel wire harness connectors to the two connector receptacles located below the steering column on the back of the clockspring housing. (3) Position the upper and lower shrouds onto the steering column. (4) Align the snap features on the lower shroud with the receptacles in the upper shroud and apply hand pressure to snap them together. (5) From below the steering column, install and tighten the two screws that secure the lower shroud to the upper shroud. Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 in. lbs.). (6) If the vehicle is equipped with the optional tilt steering column, move the column back to the fully raised position and move the tilt release lever back to the locked (up) position. (7) If a new clockspring has been installed, remove the plastic shield covering the release button that secures the clockspring rotor to the clockspring case to maintain clockspring centering. (8) Reinstall the steering wheel onto the steering column. (Refer to 19 - STEERING/COLUMN/STEERING WHEEL - INSTALLATION). NOTE: Be certain that the steering wheel mounting screw is tightened to the proper torque specification to ensure proper clockspring operation. (9) Reconnect the steering wheel wire harness connector to the upper clockspring connector receptacle. (10) Reinstall the driver airbag onto the steering wheel. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/ DRIVER AIRBAG - INSTALLATION). (11) Reconnect the battery negative cable

Check to see that the cylinders are exactly the same. Try replacing and removing the original.

Some vehicles have a key actuated switch that controls passenger bag deployment, which is illuminated when active but instrument panel displays are a warning to the driver that something is wrong..
