I have a 2005 jeep liberty, the odometer works
You'll have to fix the speedometer first. That sensor is used for shifting the transmission. If you have replaced the vehicle speed sensor (usually near the transmission output shaft), trace the wires to find damage. One wire goes to ground and the other to the pcm. See left side of diagram below.

2005 jeep liberty will not start on occasion battery and alt have been checked they are good what might the probeem be
When you say it won't start do you mean nothing happens when turning the key car won't turn over if so then more than likely your starter is getting bad and when the starter quits spinning it probably stops on a bad spot on the brushes and looses it's connection if that's the case next time vet someone to turn the key while you take a hammer and hit the starter right on the side of the body don't hit the solonoid but if it starts right up then it's the starter going bad replace it.

2.8L starts hard after first time when warm
You must do these first steps to diagnose this problem.
1. Have the engine fault codes read with a code reader or a scan tool, this engine is totally electronically controlled.
2, Have the fuel pump tested for proper pressure and also for holding pressure after engine is shut down.
