I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and have intermittant battery drain problem. Problem started about 2-3 years ago and been to 2 Chrysler Jeep Dealers who cannot find issue. Out of the blue after car sits for a few days the battery will be completely drained (remotes will not open, etc) Jump start and is OK. had it towed dead to the dealer to troubleshoot but they cannot find a solution. We have replaced the battery, alternator and the dealer has flashed the computer system for the U-Connect which I saw a technical service bulletin that we thought could be the issue that it was not disconnecting completely. That seemed to fix the problem for a year but now this weekend after car sat for 2 days was completely dead. There is nothing being left on (no dome lights etc). Would greatly appreciate any thoughts/ideas!!!
Ditto here on a 2005 jeep. We bought it new and found the battery dead on a few mornings the first year. Nothing left on. Did the new alternator thing about 2 yrs. ago and a few batteries along the way. This is what we noticed..... If you leave a CD in the CD player, that is the prime little devil that sucks out the juice. Now, we never turn off the car while a CD is in the dash. Now, maybe not necessary every time, but always overnight and now by habit, all the time, we make sure there is no CD inserted when the car is off. Hope this helps.

my radio in my 2005 jeep grand cherokee stopped working is there a fuse and which one is it
It's in the engine compartment IOD#2. It's a black module with two fuses in it. Take that module off and replace the 20 AMP one.

Alarm
Inset the key into the driver door and turn to unlock position three times to disengage alarm system without remote. Do the same in lock position for setting alarm without key fob.

check engine light on
Implausible fuel volume is the code, but it most likely was set from a bad ignition switch. It has to do with the malfunction of the switch, really setting a false code, and there might be another one also, but the ignition switch will correct the problem.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee (HEMI) Service Electric Brake System light and traction control light both stay on. Now I get a growling sound and it sounds like it is trying to shift to 4WD low mostly when turning left.
Problem is a faulty Steering Angle Sensor (part of Steering Module) located in steering column ...replacement part $600.00.

perform service jeep grand cherokee 2005 this message is appearing in the message center
Actually the newer cherokees are a little more complicated, it's not a reminder for an oil change. It is for an emssions service that should be performed according to the dealer. Here is the rest procedure
Turn ignition to on position, but do not start.
Depress brake pedal fully twice.
depress excellerator very slowly twice
Turn ignition off & that will reset the perform service indicator.
I am mechanic & we are getting frustrated because the dealers do not want to release this info to anyone, they want your money! Can you believe if you did not get them to perform the service they charge you a 1 hour shop rate??

What is the Firing order for gran cherokee 2005, 5.7L hemi V8
why ask this. the ECU in all modern cars this is programmed in to ECU, for DIS, or COPS or COIL PACKS
there is no distributor.
is this for cam reasons? why not say why ?
you can google this, vasts sold, and asked on google like 1 gillion times.(lol)
i have the full FSM , here.
so i dont need to google it.
WK jeep first year.
its even marked on the engine.
quote FSM
"These numbers (2) and (3) can also be found
on the top of the intake manifold (1) to the right of the
throttle body."
im still guessing context, (cam or spark)
the real deal from the FSM.
#1 is most forward. and why is marked #1 on all v8s and Vs.

I have a C1035 code that reads "Right Rear Wheel Comparative Performance". What can be do to fix it?
Replace the right rear wheel sensor, unless there is a great difference in tire circumference between the right rear tire and the rest of the tires. The sensor is your most likely culprit.

location of factory amp for 2012 jeep wrangler
The factory Amp in a 2012 JK Wrangler both 2 and 4 door versions and all submodels with premium sound is on the drivers side beneath the steering column. You remove the pop out panel beneath the steering wheel and you will be able to see it. You will need a 7mm and 10mm socket to unscrew the remaining bolts for the other lower panels removal to actually get to the amp to remove it. Kicker makes a factory plug and play replacement unit with Mopar that is really good although the model will vary depending on if you have the premium sound upgrade option on your wrangler or not. Non premium sound models have no factory amp as speakers are powered by the deck however the amp harness is still there for the kicker upgrade. Some people have even managed to fit in some nice 5 channel powerhouses that dont heat up much like the marine grade alpine pdx and some others.
