I have a 2004 Jeep

Could be the P0445 - Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted
The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the ECM. The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapor that will flow through the valve.

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

Possible causes
- Damage harness or connectors to the Purge Control Valve
- The valve circuit is open or shorted
- EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve may be faulty

When is the code detected?
- An excessively high voltage signal is sent to ECM through the valve

Try to remember this code number for additional details. Hope this helps, keep us updated.

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler with 43000 miles, when

Check your battery charge level, fluid level (if possible), cable connections and cable condition. Lights, radio, and other accessories draw MUCH less than the starter, so they will often work even when the battery is too low to spin the starter. Corroded connections and/or frayed or loose cables will not let enough current pass to spin the starter.

Hi, I just bought a used 2004 unlimited wrangler

If you have lights on dash lit, I would have OBII scan done (fault scan) Autozone, Advance, etc.. do that for free. Scan would show faults tracked by your computer. Since you just purchased, I would be seriously considering a "healthy" tune-up (plugs, wires, all fluids & filters including FUEL filter) this would give you a good "ground zero" starting point with you new rig.

I still have the Death Wobble. I replace the tie

I dont know if you have CV joints or U joints on that year but I worked on one last spring with CV joints. Had a REAL bad wobble. Found that one of the 3 ears inside the shaft end behind the drivers wheel had broken off yet the boot was intact. As the jeep moves it caused a major bind in the axle. The front end would literaly move up and down 3-4 inches at just idling along. I can imagine similar issues with U joint. Good luck.

The car is shutting off after starting then

Yes, the majority of vehicles can be started and then the battery completely removed from the vehicle and continue to run. If your Jeep dies and then wont restart (or is hesitant) because of a dead battery, this would most likely be the alternator connections, or event he alternator itself. Obviously the alternator is not supplying current to the vehicle. Most autopart stores can check the alternator for you, often free of charge and the easiest placed to start.
