Speedometer quit working. Now why won't the transmission shift out of first gear?

I think you'll find that it's in second gear, not first; this is part of that transmission's "limp home" feature, which takes over when the computer detects a sensor malfunction. Until that sensor (in your case the speed sensor) is fixed, the computer will refuse to let your car shift into any forward gear except 2nd.

What is the torque pattern on a 2005 valve cover

According to PTCruiser Links.com: " I have a Hayne's Manual that's for 2001 through 2003. It says to tighten all the valeve cover bolts to 40 inch pounds, initially. Then--when all are at that setting, tighten all of them to 80 inch pounds. Then when all are that tight, do the final tightening to 105 inch pounds. Sounds like a weird way to do it, but I bet it won't leak if you follow these directions .... Before doing this, apply a "light" coating of RTV sealant onto the corners of number 1 and number 6 camshaft bearing caps (I guess some oil will leak if this isn't done). In other words, the back corners as you're facing the engine from the front of the car. Tightening sequence: Do all the middle ones first, starting with the bolt in the middle of the valve cover, then the one just above it, then the one just below it. Then do the same sequence for the left three bolts. Then do the same sequence for the right three bolts. Then get a Hayne's manual, because it may not be perfect, but it shows a lot of torque settings and other stuff you will need in the future. I don't wrench all that often anymore, so I use a torque wrench. My bad! Tim "

I have to pump the gas alot to start my 2005 pt cruiser

You may not believe what I am going to say, but pumping the gas pedal does nothing to make the engine start. The throttle position sensor does not start sending a signal to the computer until after the engine starts. However, cranking the engine for an extended period of time could have an effect. If the fuel pressure is low, cranking the engine would build it back up to normal.I would suggest you have the fuel pressure checked before and after the first attempt of the day. The car would need to sit overnight for the first test.

Since we owned the car the right headlight goes up and off to the right I was inquiring as to how to bring it back in line with the other one ?

Pop the hood. There are adjustment screws on the top side of the headlight, towards the back. Turn your lights on, Pull your car up to a building and play with the adjustment.

How do I check airbag connector under seat the airbag light is on and it failed mot because of it ?

Airbag system failures are difficult to identify and correct unless you have a scanner that can read the codes from both the primary airbag system and the Passenger Presence Module. Since the voltages and currents are low, it is common for corrosion in connectors to cause the system to fail. So get or borrow a scanner which will tell you exactly what is wrong and if it is an open circuit, remove the seat from the floorboard and tilt it back a bit to better access the connectors and clean the pins and sockets with alcohol and a swab. Test the source connections for the proper resistance to ground and voltages using the service manual as a reference. Continue to use the scanner to see if the problem clears up by clearing the code and checking to see if it returns. If the source connector pins are good and cleaning didn't solve the problem, grease them with a conductive grease.

Fuse number 13 is a 20amp fuse that powers the ASD relay and the computer among other things. Someone will have to pull the relay and check the circuits one by one to find the short. It could be any one of a dozen or more components.
