Where is the brake light switch located on a 2005 chrysler crossfire?
I have to tell you this is one of the most complex brake light circuit's i've seen to date . Looking at a wiring i see a brake lamp relay that receives B+ voltage from fuse #2 15 amp , located in the illumination control module . The relay is controlled by the antilock brake controller which when energized would send B+ voltage to the brake light's . It's possible that the relay contacts could be stuck closed causing the lights to stay on .There is no standard type brake lamp switch . Does the vehicle have any warning lamps lit on the instrument cluster ? ABS ?
Stereo removal guide for a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible
Gently pry the surround using a plastic tool. There are two catches on the top and two on the sides at the bottom.
With the surround off, you will see the screws holding the stereo.
If there are preamp jacks in the back, it is eaxy to add an aux post using an adapter cable. If there are no input ports, you will need an oscilloscope to find the preamp circuits inside the stereo. Only do this if you know what you are doing and are good with an oscilloscope and soldering iron.
I have a problem with
new cars have a lot of things running in the back ground, you can hook and AMP meter on the battery and see how much it pulls just sitting there, then one by one unplug fuses and see if maybe a relay has welded its self closed and drawing more current then it should in the off postion. if possible hook a battery tender to your car and plug it in, it will keep a small amount of current going to the battery and should keep the battery charged.
How to remove crossfire front brake rotors
front rotor removal you need to remove the brake caliper including the brake caliper bracket so nothing is in the way, there should be a 7mm set screw in the rotor remove that, then get some pb blaster and spray the center part of the hub and the back part of the hub very liberally then you have to use a hammer and beat it off, a way to make it easier is to rotate the rotor as you beat it. It will come off.
What would make the ignition switch stick an not turn to start the motor
Clyde, try moving steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn key. This sound like it should have been a recall for faulty ignitions as when I googled it, there are a lot of cross fires with the same problem. Clyde, google search (2005 crossfire ignition switch)
There is just too much for me to write.
