I have a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara almost ran out of gas.I put gas in and now when I push the gas pedal the car barely moves I barely got home thepedal

running the pump dry is bad. on all EFI cars the pump is fuel cooled and fuel lubricated if you run any pump dry, you risk pump damage but lets hope it not damaged, hope is good. key on 10 times, hear it run?(the pump) let it run 10 times not started and pray it works, and this trick primes it and gets all air out of the line the 3 second run time is called just that auto prime. then run it. never run EFI cars dry, its a rule. the dash chime told you it was low, ignore that at your risk.

I have a 2006 suzuki grand vitara, are the oxygen sensors the same in either bank of the engine?

Well, the upstream sensors are the same and the downstream are the same - so it takes two of each. For the record you should never have to replace more than one or two sensors at one time. And trouble codes do not tell you the sensors have failed.

How to remove engine pulley on a 2006 suzuki grand vitara

Most of the time, you will need to remove the bolt holding the pulley on to the end of the crankshaft, then install a "pulley puller" to get it the rest of the way off. Most car parts stores, and many automobile repair garages have "pulley pullers", and you can see what one looks like. God bless your efforts.

How does one change the clearance lights in the front

clearance, what is that? this is a usa forum. and we have books cars for USA> if usa, the glove box guide tells you how to change all basic lamps. (those related to safety, by name, but we dont have clearance lamps) why not post a photo to said lamp so we can see it. there are, up front. head lamps high and low beam parking lamps. turns signals. fog. is this a match>? check fuses yet. are left and right side dead? or just one, if one is dead, the lamp is bad. in the USA the jeep is called WK. and the full book is here, and covers all that and 10000 more things. RTM? read the manual, and tell where it is unclear/? http://www.morris4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara; I have lost lighting in my steering wheel buttons and radio display. In addition my dome lights don't work with door(s) open.

Hi. You could check for a small relay or fuse that must have burnt out. If you open the fuse box, there will a diagram of where each fuse is placed for what. Check slowly through the dashboard fuses or relays. Usually, the newer cars use simple electrics to run the entire system.

Alternator replced, new plugs and 2 new belts. when I first accelerate I get a screaming noise then stops suddenly.

I would guess the alternator was not mounted correctly or there is too much tension on the belt.

2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Please advise the location in car of the transmission control module. I think it may be be incorporated into the engine ecu as I can find no separate listing for it. Thanks

first off: what country, and what engine? we are USA forum that car is sold all over planet earth. and many vary hugely by that factor. here it is a H27 engine, my guess, just sold my POS. the car also comes in 4wd and 2wd, the a/t transmission brain on all Vitara's here, was moved, to where, ? in 1997. moved to the confines of the ECU, and then renamed it to PCM. there is no TCM in the DASH starting in 1997 to now. unless its a diesel or so other strange enigne there in say Europe. see, welcome to the www, world wide web we've not a clue where you are...... (not me) why not just scan the PCM like we all do and see all those transmission errors, 1997 to now. on the 1996, you scan it and get P0700 then must use a special tool (or method) to scan the external TCm there, the full story, on usa spec cars. only this car.

I have a 2006 suzuki grand vitara and the check engine light came on yesterday took to auto zone to read and o reilly neither could read what can i do

It may have a unique OBD2 protocol, this means it takes a special scanner software package. You need to see the dealer or a shop that has the right scanner to read the fault code.
