Not exactly.
The check gauge warning light is on because the temp gauge is reading hot.
Does the temp gauge read hot as soon as you turn the key switch on, or not until the engine as run for a few minutes ?
If it reads hot without the engine being started, there may be a short in the wiring or the sensor may have failed.

Water coming from a exhaust is normal. The newer the car, the more emission control it has at protecting the environment and the more water you will see.

Remember that the combustion of hydrocarbon fuel produces both carbon dioxide AND water vapor as a normal part of the process. All gasoline engines produce water vapor and all water vapor condenses if the exhaust pipe is cool.

YOUR STARTER & SOLONOID, ONE UNIT, MUST BE BAD ! WHEN YOU TURN KEY TO START THE BATTERY SHOULD ENERGIZE THE SOLONOID WHICH INGAGES THE STARTER INTO THE FLYWHEEL AND CRANKS THE ENGINE TO START. IF THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN, REPLACE THE UNIT !
