What is the position of the ditriburator on yukon 5.7

Remove distributor cap, make sure you unplug ignition coil...remove no. 1 spark plug. have someone bump key slowly while you put your finger where the plug goes...you will feel pressure push against your finger...when the pressure stops, your No. 1 piston is at top dead center, your rotor will be pointing to where your No. 1 plug wire should be. Place your distributor just above without installing . If not aligning place your No. 1 plug wire there.. , and use that as a starting point for your firing order....good luck !!! Hope this helps...

How can you tell if the crankshaft is bent in a 1999 yukon

to successfully test for a bent crank you will have to take it to a engineering shop that is set up to grind cranks as they will have the proper lathe to test it in. If the crank has a main bearing either side of a big end or a set of big ends then the chances of it being bent would be slim. What indications are there that makes you consider it is bent.

1999 GMC Yukon power windows only work with driver controls

It probably is related to the NORM/LOCK switch, or the wires to it. Remove the switch, unhook the wires on it. The switch was either on or off, with wires removed the car thinks its off, so there is a 50% chance the car will think you want NORMAL mode.

I HAVE A 99 GMC YUKON, AND IN THE PAST COUPLE

This is the relearn process if you replace a key and don`t have a scan tool. You have to get the codes from the Theft Deterrent module to see what could be causing the problem. If your key is worn out it could cause this problem.Try using a different key if you have one.The dealership parts department has a tool to check the keys.Usually done at no charge.Only takes seconds to do.Could also be a bad ignition cylinder. That`s why you need the codes.Other wise you are just spending money and buying parts that you don`t need.Let me know what codes you get and I`ll be glad to help you out.Good luck.
