key stuck in ignition barrel
i shared the same problem - the key stuck in the ignition.
solution: there is a black 3/4" ring below the grey shifter handle that looks like three rings in one. if this piece is down the shifter post and not up agains shifter handle, the key will not release. Push ring up towards the handle until you hear a click (you might have to twist it a bit to get it up the post). once it's in place, the key will release. good luck.

I have a 2006 FORD FOCUS the inside "recirculating button" stopped working does not recirculate air inside the car any suggestions how to repair or replace?
either your heater conrol head with the recirc button is bad, or the motor that opens and closes the inside/outside air door.

I changed the battery on my key fob ford focus 2006 now its not working
Try reprogramming it.
1. Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 6 seconds.
2. Turn the ignition OFF. The system will chime to confirm programming mode.
3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote.
The system will chime once to confirm programming.
4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote.
System will chime once to confirm programming.
5. Turn ignition to RUN to exit programming mode.

2007 ford focus key stuck in ignition.
Hope this helps all.... If the key is stuck (won't come out) and the column is NOT locked, on the gear shift there is a plastic sleeve. Put the gear shift in park...slide your hand below the knob and pull that sleeve up! Presto!!! it locks in park and the key comes out. I just put all the stuff i took apart back together... the other solutions may work but this is the first step to check... no tools and you know right away...

where is the fuse located for the alternator? i took the positive cable off and it died i wanted to check the fuse first which #fuse is it?
the fuse box under the hood is known as the (BJB) that is where you will find fuse for your alternator
location number for the fuse is F1.10 it is a 1amp fuse, there is another fuse which is an inline fuse, most likely the one your looking for 175amp location it does not specify, but red wire comes from the battery to the starter motor, from the starter motor to the alternator, the inline fuse is in the wire from the starter to alternator, there is n location for it, but easiest way is to check for voltage at the alternator, as inline fuse will be close to there, so if your there, just check at alternator for voltage
sorry it is not located in fuse box and the fuse for alternator in fuse box control the light on your dash
good luck, if i can help any further just ask
Thanks

The windshield wipers to my Ford focus stopped working today. They worked for a little while & then stopped in the up position. You can hear the motor working but they don't move. You can move them manually & they both move & move together, but nothing when you press the lever other than the slight noise of the motor. Any suggestions?
Your wiper linkage has come off the wiper motor. To reconnect the linkage, first remove the wiped arms, the remove the wiped cowl. The wiper cowl bolts are located under the hood and screws through the spaces in the cowl. Reconnect linkage, reinstall cowl, reinstall wiped arms.

air selection switch on 2006 ford focus is stuck in the defrost position, is it controlled by a fuse
Your blend air door is cable controlled, and the cable unraveled internally at the switch, it just happens to be stuck in the defrost position, ive had the same issue, just replace the blend air door cable/switch and its fixed!! looks to be about $40.
