check the connection at the fan on the passenger side it could be loose. if it is reconnect it if it is not then check for power at the connecter . If you have power and connection is good, give the fan housing a good whack with a rubber hammer some times these old fellows just get tired and lazy.

There is a tool for it you can get at the auto parts stores.

Change the ignition pack . It's where all the spark plugs connect to.

What i've been told or understand, is if your box behind the seat, which i believe is a 4x4 module of some sort, clicks then your actuator motor under the vehicle is stuck, broken or simply not engaging. Have someone pushing the button slowly while someone crawls under the car to tap the back end of the motor.

If this helps you are having an issue with the motor, its stuck and usually needs to be replaced.(the motor at a parts store is called a transfer case motor)(they have them at schucks).

If that doesn't help then you may be having the same problem i am.
I'm dealing with a similar problem the only difference is that my unit behind the driver seat doesn't click at all. The little led doesn't light up either. I don't think i'm getting power to that module. But finding a wiring schematic for the system is proving difficult.

if u took the bed off to change the fuel pump make sure u hook the ground back up to the frame the ground should be on the driver side behind the tank,u need to change the fuel pump relay when u change a fuel pump because it could be bad to cause the first pump to quit working. not the right amount of volts or to much volts,the relay is under the hood in the fuse box,
