Hello Brian Banister,
Having a couple of careers finding faulty connections...
I can assure you ...
No good came of thinking the
"COVER" was just for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES
(
wrong).
I'll suggest that YOUR panel "
COVER" should be found...
and
re-cover those electrical components...
COULD be THE SOURCE OF YOUR
TROUBLES...!!
>> NEED TO BE KEPT
CLEAN & DRY... ALWAYS...!!
Free WIRING DIAGRAMS:
schematic & TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS
can be accessed at BBB Industries website
(registration required; these are real drawings).
You will also need some
contact cleaner and some
white lithium grease to restore the FACTORY protection you will be washing away with the contact cleaner...
Finally a couple of serious (but not terribly expensive)
tools will help find problems...
HARBORFREIGH gives away little volt meters... not great but useable...
For more complex issues wire "
tone-tracers" can quickly locate
circuit OPENS...
Happy hunting... (find that
cover & put it back!!)... If you find signs of
heat...
SAVE TIME: replace the
ENTIRE PANEL
