Will not shift out of 2nd gear
Tranny most likely shot. I believe yours is a T-5, I had the same issue years back but in 3rd gear. Usually the clutch going out is a gradual thing. So I would have a tranny shop look at it. Maybe find a cheap rebuilt tranny for ya.Look online or a trusted shop.

Fix a trouble code p0174 on a 1994 ford mustang
its too lean-probly hav a vacuum leak causing it-like a bad egr valve or hoses-listen under the hood--get fixed soon cause engine head can ruin--a bad injector can doit too--dont just replace parts since car is old-pinpoint cure w other opinions or factory scan gear

Does my 94mustang gt 5.0 have a ecu? If so, where
it will have , on that age of vehicle they were usually fitted on or near the throttle body , or will be incorporated into the main PCM computer which is locate behind passenger side kick panel , you can't miss it , it's the size of 9 inch pizza box but metal not cardboard obviously LOL

1994 mustang gt auto trans keeps stalling while
check for a fuel flow problem( pump pressure-filter blockage-injector/s) run fault codes ( check for HO2S and O2S sensor operation.. Check cat converter is serviceable Blocking exhaust system

Tach problems
If you have an after-market radio, suspect the CHASSIS GROUND CONNECTION for the instrument cluster.
Also, check all fuses to be sure it isn't a blown fuse.
