3.0l. Where is ignition control module located?
The coil and ignition module are part of same assembly, follow the spark plug wire, spark plug on one end, coil/ignition module on the other end.
I was going to ask, how long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Are missing anything besides spark? Did you check primary voltage at the ignition module? That is a fused circuit.

Yeah Ford sucks for this. When there isn't a manual, I pull them all and look. This gets rid of the corrosion problem also. I have fixed to many just by pulling the fuse.

Overdrive light flashes on and off
This will occur if the control solenoids that are located inside the pan on the valve body, are malfunctioning. First, i would check the fluid level. if the fluid level is proper, have the tranny flushed and change the filter as well. If this doesn't fix the issue, go ahead and replace the control solenoids.
