I recently replaced the pvc valve on my 2001 ford explorer and now both the vacuum lines are closing in on each other

Where they collapsing before you replace it? If you still have the old one put the old POV back in and check. It could be as simple as needing new (thicker) lines or it could be some other compression issue.

Radio display panel doesn't light on 2001 Ford Explorer

Pretty common problem for this era Ford radio. Easiest way to solve this problem is to install an aftermarket radio.

Anti theft will not allow my explorer to start,

My mechanic disconnected the security section because my key I use to start the car had the security spot on the key was loose and would not work in the ignition It was going to cost a lot for a new set of keys so he took the security section out for a lot less. As he said an older car does not need security.

My 01 explorer sport 4x4 4.0 sohc has a ruff start. Then, when i put it in gear will run untill i push gas then it sputters out.

Start with testing fuel pressure. Your fuel pump may be bad. If fuel pressure is correct, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Autozone (and other parts stores) will do code scans for free.

We are having a problem with a 2001 ford explorer cant seem to get it to run it want to start but wont we have replaced several censers in it and we was just wondering if the purge valve could it

Purge valve won't cause this. Have the codes read. If you have been trying to get it started for awhile, the spark plugs are gas fouled. They need replaced.

2001 ford explorer hesitating after water pump was replaced. What's causing this issue?

The water pump itself should not cause such an issue. It is, after all, just a water pump. You aren't saying what size engine the vehicle has, so there will be differences between the 6 and 8 cylinder engines as far as configuration goes. My first impression would be that something was disconnected to get to the water pump and may not have been reconnected, or may have a bad connection. Check all the electrical plugs/connections in the area of the water pump. Look for any plug/socket that may not have anything attached to it.

Idles faster and shifts funny and hard

Often times it is a simple fix. Low trans fluid is one of the first things I would check on. Either a stick or auto low fluid will act up if the fluid is low. Be sure and check it according to manual. Warm trans fluid and then check it while running and in park. Hope this helps and is an easy fix.

  5. Disconnect the rear door window regulator motor electrical connector.

No brake lights 2001 explorer

if the signals work then the bulbs are good, as they use the same bulb. check the brake light switch under the dash at the bottom of the steering colume that the brake pedal pushes. using a test light one wire should have power all the time and the second wire should only have power when the pedal is pushed. if not then the switch is bad or out of adjustment.
