My 98 ford expedition wont shift into park. I got under the dash and seen that a black tube is busted on the gear shift linkage how can I fix this?

Personally I would go to junk yard and get that part you described. That part is rather easy to get to and replace. Good luck

Oil is in the resovior now it link out of the resovior

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying there is oil in your reservoir? Could be the head gasket starting to go bad. If you're saying it's leaking out of the reservoir, then you have a crack somewhere in the reservoir or the rubber line that connects to it.

What to look for? why is this electrical system malfuntioning?

Well that kind of sounds like a bad connection, but it was difficult understanding with no good punctuation... Have you checked the battery terminals? If not, do so, and have your alternator checked too. I've seen some really goofy stuff happen when some vehicles don't get enough power.

I have a 1998 Ford expedition. All the gauges on the dash board don't work but the dash lights still work. The cluster been replaced and so has the gem. All fuses and wires checked. Not sure what else

Just out of curiosity, did you check the fuses under the steering wheel to the right as well as the fuses under the hood drivers side?

I replaced the radio in my 98 expedition and no sound from speakers

Your car stereo may have an auxiliary amplifier. The fuse for that may be blown and not turning on and no sound coming out.

How do you bypass the oil coolant

Not sure why you would want to unless it's leaking, but if you must, disconnect both lines and fashion a hose to connect them. DO NOT USE FUEL HOSE! There is a special type hose made for oil cooler lines. Not much pressure involved here, so if you can get a hose that fits over end of lines, use clamp and secure it all out of harms way = done.

How to fix oil in the reservior

If you are talking about oil in the coolant overflow, it could be a leaking intake gasket or head gasket. You can have oil in the cooling system and not get coolant in the oil.

My 1998 ford exedition back fire when i start it do you know why it do that and whats gonna happen if it keep doing it

You have a timing issue. The spark advance is igniting at the incorrect time, with relation to piston and valve position.
The engine will begin to overheat and eventually will seize. The timing chain and gears need replaced. Approx. Cost is $5-700.00 at most repair shops.

How do I change the head gaskets on a 98 for expedition xlt 4.6L?

this really isn't the place to get an answer as it will not be a straight forward few lines to give the answer, you will need a manual that shows the head torque sequence and the torque settings for the various bolts and it may also give you the strip down procedure

1998 ford expedition shut,s off when driving and no code,s

sounds like fuel pump is ready to fail. first check and or change fuel filter. if truck still shuts off then time to test fuel pump. first see if it is running by taking off gas cap and turn on key just one notch short of starting truck. if you hear a hum then your pump is working. but then you may have low pressure. if so then your fuel pump needs replaced. I just did this. its about a 4-6 hour job. go to youtube they have a good step by step video on how to do. good luck

How do I reset the computer on my 1998 ford expedition

For security. If everything is working. Shut the doors and lock it up. Unlock the drivers side door. This should reset security. Reset the ECM. disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. This only resets the ECM to factory defaults. It will not fix any problems.

How to bypass factory anti theft on 1998 ford expedition

Attention to everyone with this problem. The alarm light will always blink when vehicle is not in operation but blinks slow. This is normal. You only have a problem if you cannot start vehicle. This is a sign there was a "attempted" theft of your vehicle. If this is the case, you will usually have to do like others have suggested. A new key and or fob, etc. Hope this helps. I went through this embarrassment when I "drove" my 2000 Explorer to the dealership and was informed of the same thing I just explained. Seems reading the owners manual sometimes will answer some of the most seemingly complicated questions:)

How do I wire an after market radio in a 1998 Ford Expedition?

Easiest and best way to put a aftermarket radio in any vehicle is to buy a radio plug adapter at Walmart for $10. No factory wires cut just wire the plug to the radio and plug it in.
