My floor board on passenger
If your heater core is leaking, your coolant will be low, and the leak will be antifreeze, not water.
The drain hose should be at the firewall,or lower just in front of where the passengers feet go.
2004 doge dakota 3.7 V6 I just replaced the water
YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK THESE FIRST
make sure your radiator is clear and not blocked in any of the fins and openings and make sure your fan is working
u may need to flush the cooling system-could be blockage somewhere
bleed valve should be on bottom of radiator on right side looking at front of truck
if u still can't find it just remove the bottom hose on radiator-make sure engine is not hot before doing this
u can buy flush kit at any auto store
after flushing-put water if-not antifreeze
run for 15 to 25 minutes and see if it gets hot
if not-drain and put antifreeze in
if it still gets hot you may have gasket problems allowing fluids to leak out or hot gases from exhaust to get into you're cooling system
check tail pipe for steam
good luck
How do i replace the natural vacuum leak detection
Vehicles equipped with NGC engine control modules use an NVLD pump
and system. Vehicles equipped with JTEC engine control modules use a
leak detection pump. Refer to Leak Detection Pump (LDP) for additional
information.
The Natural Vacuum Leak Detection (NVLD) system is
the next generation evaporative leak detection system that will first be
used on vehicles equipped with the Next Generation Controller (NGC).
This new system replaces the leak detection pump as the method of
evaporative system leak detection. This is to detect a leak equivalent
to a 0.020 (0.5 mm) hole. This system has the capability to detect holes
of this size very dependably.
Removal & Installation
-
Raise and support vehicle.
-
Remove left-rear tire.
-
Remove plastic shield (4) in front of left-rear tire. Access to
both the EVAP canister (1) and NVLD pump (6) is from the area in front
of the removed tire.
-
Disconnect electrical connector at NVLD pump.
-
Remove vapor line at NVLD pump. Pry outward on tab (3) and rotate
pump (6) clockwise about 70 for removal.
-
Remove NVLD pump O-ring (5) from EVAP canister (1).
To Install:
-
Install new NVLD pump O-ring (5) to EVAP canister (1).
-
Position NVLD pump (6) into EVAP canister (1).
-
Rotate pump (6) until tab aligns with notch in EVAP canister (1).
-
Carefully install vapor/vacuum lines to NVLD pump.
WARNING
The vapor/vacuum lines and hoses must be firmly connected. Check
the vapor/vacuum lines at the NVLD pump, filter and EVAP canister purge
solenoid for damage or leaks. If a leak is present, a Diagnostic Trouble
Code (DTC) may be set.
-
Connect electrical connector to pump.
-
Install plastic shield in front of left-rear tire.
-
Install left-rear tire.

WHERE IS THE THERMOSTAT LOCATED
The thermostat is located low on the front of the engine, to the left of the cranckshaft balancer below idler pulley and tensioner. Drain the cooling system, remove radiator hose from thermostat housing, remove two bolts, tap off housing cover and it should be beneath it. Hope this helps
Hard starting missing, dies out at medium rpm
HelloThe engine
and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train
are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM
(Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the
computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some
exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature
sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in
its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A
TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPEDING YOUR
HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM
