2002 Dodge Ram Maxi Questions & Answers
06 Ram interior lights shut off quickly
I maybe wrong, but there should be a proceedure in the owners manual to adjust the interior light timing. If this proceedure is unsuccessful check your dealer for more info.
Dodge 318 2500 ram wagon stumbles on medium acceleration .
Have to plugs and wires been replaced according to the manual every 30/60K? Check for play in the distributor. Look in the throttle body with a light for oil on the intake floor, this would be a bad lower intake gasket. Make sure to use the factory recommended spark plugs, it only likes Champions.
Cooling fan relay control ciruit
Are you sure it isn't only a failed thermoswitch?
There isn't normally much of a circuit; the fan motor is directly or indirectly controlled by a bimetal switch that is screwed into the lower radiator tank.
That switch could control a relay but it isn't common to do it that way, it would be better since that kind of switch doesn't handle fairly heavy currents as the fans need so a relay would relieve it from carrying no more than a couple hundred milliamperes at the most.
HEAT ON MY RAM
Did you check the blend door motor? they will break and cause the door to not move. the dealer can run it thru a mode/blend door test. They just try to move the door with the obd computer they can calibrate them as well.
2002 Ram Radio problem
It sounds like a cold soldered joint internally in the radio. My advice is to buy a nice aftermarket radio with an MP3 CD player. MP3 gives you the option to burn music from your computer. In addition, MP3 CDs will hold over 100 songs per CD.
It MIGHT be a poor connection at the power connector on the rear of the radio. You could try pulling out the radio and cleaning the connection before purchasing a new radio.
2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 3.9 engine overheating
Check your rad hoses. They will tend to collapse (**** in) & cut down on flow at highway speeds, more than city, due to increased demand & flow on cooling system. If they don't feel relatively stiff, I'd change them. You might even see them **** in while sitting and revving the engine a bit.
I have a similar problem
Hi, the rats seem to come in around the cowl plenum, so the gaps can be covered with nylon door screen material or "hardware cloth" [a course galvanized metal screen]..
Another point of entry is around the inner fender liners [this is where any water entering the cowl area is drained. once they get into the cowl they gain access through the fresh air vent and then chew through the cabin air filter [leaving the h.v.a.c. system in the recirculate mode when turning car off may help.
