Set the gap between .045-.060" I prefer to keep the gap a little tighter then recommended as the electrodes will continue to wear and if they are set at .060" they may fail out of service faster as the gap will greatly increase after wearing.

I hate to say, being 2008 and have that many miles, from my experienced working many years at many dealership, your fighting against a brick wall, you can threat them with all kind of law suit, all it will come down to is repaint and that is the best they will do. I hate to say that they going to make you run around in a circle by the time they have exhausted you, you will settle just for a paint job. Those machine from factory, I wish I can say its an excellent job it does but you going to get some defect. In you case if you take it a good paint shop and highly recommended, than you will get allot better paint job than a factory and you shouldn't even have a problems with it and the new paint job will probably outlast other parts compair factory paint on your car. good luck..and I hope that help some

Never known anyone to have success with this product.
Try cleaning off gearbox area to trace the source.
You might be lucky, and by tightening up sump pan screws, or a pipe union, this will give you a cure.
But I expect it could be the front converter seal ? and this will require G/box removal.
