I have a '79 30'
i have seen this problem on many dodge motorhomes , does the air cleaner have the electric device on it? if it does i suggest reverting the engine back to the old style distributor that does not require it as those tend to go out and cause a lot of problems,it is a fairly easy solution if you are mechanicaly inclined and you wont see many problems with the electrical system of the engine afterwards.the hardest part of this solution is finding 1 of the older style distributors

Sounds like you just need a tune up but here are some other possibilities:
bad ignition coil, incorrect timing, fouled spark plug(s), old and/or worn ignition wires and/or other secondary ignition components.
Lost keys
you can get a new ignition key cylinder with keys from most any parts house
Ignition lock problem
Try youtube they do not have a video specific for your car there are a few on ignition cylinder replacements may give you some support

use a meter to trace the wires ,its a surmountable problem.try checking the earth connection on the rear lights and putting an additional earth wire on as well .the problem you describe is classic earth problem on rear light clusters,or in american the pigs tail. Now where did that come from ??dont play with it till you put a new earth cable on to ground and a bit of grease on the body connection and iam sure you find it all works.

Have you heard or read that 3.5L engines in the Magnums blow up?
Dodge magnum engines are like any other make or model. Engines usually only 'blow up' if they have not been maintained correctly and have been badly treated, (driven hard before the engine has warmed up to working temperature. If you want a Magnum go and look at as many as you can BEFORE you decide to buy one. If the vehicle has no documented history WALK AWAY!!
Not sure but it seems the 2006 and 2008 models seemed to be the problem years. There were more than one engine size fitted so the issue could have been with the larger V8 engine.
