If you drive your car for 3 weeks with a misfire
If it is an ignition miss, than you can damage your catalytic converter, as raw fuel would be force through it.
The inside of your combustion chamber would also become very fouled up, and most probably ruin your spark plugs as well.
You probably wont cause any serious damage, but if you leave it long enough it could definately create more problems.
2006 Dodge Neon makes a loud noise when I brake.
Neons are known to have brake noise esspecially from the rear. Try driving while holding the parking brake up for a while. Dont do it for to long but just enough to clear all the rust out of the drums. I work at a dealer and that has fixed countless noise complaints. However, if its more of a howling noise it make be one of the rear wheel bearings.
Oil pump seal blown out two times got any ideas ,
check crankshaft end play it is possible it has excessive play causing seal to push out of place, if this is the case recommend you to replace short block will be chipper and less problem and time than replacing crankshaft and oil pump with bearings main and connecting rods.
Im having a problem with my brakes, its a 2001
how many miles on the car? have you replaced the rear brakes since you bought it? a common problem on the older body style neons was the brake shoes being to hard of a friction material and all you had to do was replace them and problem solved, but you could try taking the brake drums off and getting all the brake dust out of the brakes with the garden hose and using compressed air to dry them or buy a can or two of brake parts cleaner at you local parts store, hope this helps
2001 dodge neon rear brake problem
on the back of the brake plate you will see a slotted hole. this is the brake adjuster. take a butter knife or a "brake spoon" and turn the adjuster wheel inside until the brakes release.
OIl drain plug removal 99 dodge neon DOHC
It appears that the threads are stripped on the bolt or pan. To remove the bolt, try having a helper put a couple of screwdrivers (flat) between the bolt and pan, and while you turn the drain bolt to loosen, have them apply pressure downward on the bolt. If you have a carpenters flat pry bar, that would probably work even better to apply downward pressure to help remove the bolt. Next, you'll have to go to a parts store to get a drain plug that is made to replace one w/ bad threads. Let me know how you do. countrcurt0
