2006 F150 no brakes light

Does this include the CHMSL ( Center High Mount Stop Lamp ) ?
The turn signals work fine when you say all other lights work ?

If so could be 2 things.
1. The BPP ( Brake Pedal Position ) Switch
1.1. The BPP has 4 wires on it
1.1.1. Tan w/ Red stripe & Pink w/ Light Green stripe are the shift interlock
1.1.2. Light Green w/ red stripe & Light Green wires are the Brake lamp part of the BPP.

sscullys_92.jpg
When you have the brake off, the Light Green w/ Red stripe wire should have power on it ( from fuse #2 ) and when you press on the brake pedal, the Light green wire should also have power.
- If only the Light green w/ red stripe wire has power with the brake on and off, and the Light green wire never has power, the BPP switch needs to be replaced.
- If the Light Green wire does not have power ( and you are use of the ground you are testing with ) fuse #2 is blown.

- The fuse for the brake lamps ( Fuse #2 in the cab fuse panel ).
-- This is if the CHMSL is also not functioning

No brake lights

Try your boo(brake on/off switch) switch on brake pedal. unplug it and jump connector with a piece of wire and have someone look behind truck and see if brake lights turn on. if brake light illum, there you go replace switch. make sure pay special attn how switch comes off after pulling pin out. also try fuse if all else is ok.

My 2006 f150 has new brakes and rotors, fluid full but my dash brake light stays on. Soon as you start it and the whole time you drive. Also the cruise quit too. Once the light went off then the cruise

This sounds like the brake light switch or the control switch on the brake pedal is bad or loose. Check under the dash above the brake pedal there should be one or two switches that tell the brake lights to come on and the cruise control to shut down.

2006 Ford F-150. Is reverse separate from all other gears on a 06 F-150

Question edited for clarity, maker name and first in question. Question moved to sub category. Much depends on whether it is a manual or automatic, but in general, yes, reverse is a single speed, slow speed, high torque drive in a rearward direction. Reverse gear issues in the link. https://www.google.com/search?q=2006+Ford+F-150.+Is+reverse+separate+from+all+other+gears ..

2006 Ford F-150 crank no start, but only INTERMITTENTLY. Won't start now, but will 4 hours later. Fuel pump control module was deteriorated, so replaced that. Condition did not change with new module.

Scan for Diagnostic Trouble codes. Put it on a Pro Grade scan tool computer and check Live Data at the time it fails. Check fuel pressure, especially as the control module was causing issues. The electronics will tell you the reason.

Where is my auxillary power point fuse located at?

Do you have a 2006 or 2007/08 F-150 ?

The problem section is for the 2006, which 37 & 39 are the correct fuses.

Change in the 07-08 MY for the power point fuses

Instrument Power point is fuse #117
Rear Power Point and Center console power point are fuse # 37

Fuse #18 & Fuse #20 are for the overhead power point, one is hot in run / start ( Fuse 18 ) the other is hot all the time ( Fuse 20 )

Truck won't start but the horn honks when I turn the key.

Sound like a wire loose. could be the earth cable to the engine, or the main power cable from the battery to the fuse box/ignition switch/starter.

06 f150 rear seat back how to put down to install seat covers

They are a pain in the rear. On either side about one foot in on the bottom get somethings like a long prybar and lift up on the seat cushion. Then get a light and look for a skinny hook on each side. There is a metal tube they hook to. Get another prybar and push the hook towards the back of the truck and lift upwards at the same time. They are hard to see. Good luck

I have a 2006 ford f150.the 4wd stopped working.it is not electronic.the shifter is on the floor. also the 4wd indicater light is on.

Check to be sure if the vacuum is connected from the engine to the shifter switch is connected and that you're getting vacuum from the switch to the front differential. No vacuum to the differential diaphragm, no 4x4 front action.
