My 2001 ford focus keeps locking. The power locks automatically lock as soon as I unlock them, barely enough time to open door.
Your Focus may be equipped with the autolock feature. Try this:
To deactivate/reactivate the autolock feature using the power door unlock control
You must complete steps 1-7 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control.
The horn will chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long chirp) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.

Fuse for interior lights
often times the owners manual will tell you fuse box locations and give you a diagram to which fuse controls what, and what amprage fuse youll need to replace it with. if the manual doesnt tell you which fuse controls what, then the fuse box should have a diagram somewhere close by like on a cover to the actual box. if all else fails, google "fuse box location 2001 focus" and see where it is

No heat in heater when idiling when reviv motor up has a little heat and heats up when ideling in traffic
Sounds like you may have combustion gasses creating an air lock in the cooling system. Or plugged heater core / radiator. Definitely a circulation problem of some kind either flow of hot antifreeze is restricted or the heater should blow very hot air especially when the car heats up so long as all the ducting and heater controls are functioning properly. If the vehicle has been overheated you more than likely have combustion gasses in the cooling system. Water pump will not work properly for combustion gasses that mix with coolant. Check to see if the coolant is beginning to get a little oily and dirty, this will indicate combustion gasses entering cooling system.

Where is the thermostat located on 2001 ford
The purpose of the thermostat is to regulate the coolant system to prevent the engine from overheating. A faulty thermostat will stick and not allow the coolant to enter the engine.
Follow the upper rad hose to the engine and at the engine there is the thermostat housing.Undo the bolts and lift off the connector and replace the thermostat. The thermostat housing is attached with three bolts.Lift the thermostat out of the housing. The thermostat rests at the bottom of the housing.
-------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I have a ford focus 1.6 2001 and one side at the back light does not come on the brake light works fine
Probably corrosion in the connector or bulb socket. Wiggle both and see with the lights on. Clean the ground wire to the frame close to the taillight. Usually held on by a bolt.
If you get nothing, take a DVOM set to 20vdc and check the connector for power - with the lights on of course. Still nothing? You will have to work backwards to the source. Check for broken/cut wires, corroded connectors inline. Sooner or later you will find a spot with power. May have to replace the wire(s) from that point to the taillight.

I am not sure whats wrong. Acceleration.
Intermittent problems such as this can be difficult to diagnose. You need to run some tests on things like the TPS, EGR, and maybe even a fuel pump relay or pump starting to fail. For EGR the only good way to check is remove and clean all passages of carbon. TPS can be checked with ohm meter, but unlikely as it runs well sometimes. Fuel pressure gauge could be hooked up so you can view it while driving to see if pressure drops when problem occurs. Sorry not to have better ideas.
