No power to ignition switch. All fuses good. ASD
i would say you have a mains problem?any car that blows a 40amp fuse has a big fault.you have a direct short in the alternator/starter/battery area.take a very close look, as this type of fault will show its face pretty quick, check all heavy wires to and from starter/battery,and if satisafied get the alternator checked as it could be the problem.adrian,,,
I had a1994 dodge start
If it is backfiring it has either an ignition timing or valve train problem. The usual cause is a bent or burnt intake and/or exhaust valve. This will also mess up your engine vacuum and keep it from idling correctly.

The dakota i have is a 94 with a V6 i drive down
it sonds like your engine timing has moved, have you replaced the head gaskets or some mayor engine repair on it?? if you do you must miss a toot on the engine timing chain, make sure you have the time set to the exact timing points.

you have to remove either the gas tank or the truck bed. nether one is that hard but if you remove the gas tank use as much fuel as you can before pulling the tank there is no way of draining it......HAVE FUN
Hello, i replaced the timing gears and chain and
The distributor is only for injector timing.
Do not move it.
94-97 Back Probe 5 Vref Wire at dist.
Tan/Yel Wire
Move dist till you switch from 5 volts to O volt, then lock down
Only do this if you moved dist, during chain replacement or assuming the dist
set timing ,which it does not.

Truck is in park but
Most likely yes. Making sure the vehicle can not move have one person go under the vehicle and observe the linkage movement while a second person changes the gear selector.

Replacing water in radiator on
Based on what you wrote, I believe you are correct on the heater core.Generally you won't see coolant on the ground but you will find that the passenger floor is wet. The part about not having heat is strange though as even if it's leaking it should still provide heat 'till the coolant level drops to a point where it won't flow through the core BUT, at that point usually the engine will overheat due to a lack of proper circulation and no coolant in the cylinder heads. Therefore, I'd replace the core but also carefully inspect everything under there for any signs of another problem (a stuck air diverter door or a malfunctioning vacuum servo on a door). After doing any work on a cooling system, It's always a good idea to replace the thermostat. They aren't expensive and often become unreliable after a problem has been encountered.

94 Dakota 3.9 4WD
The VSS needs to be checked and replaced.VSS means the Vehicle Speed Sensor.
Also the error code 15 is indicating this fault of speed sensor.
·15 - No vehicle speed signal. No vehicle distance (speed) sensor
signal detected during road load conditions.
So code 15 is saying
that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is not getting a signal from the
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). This is probably due to a bad VSS or wiring
problem. This would also cause problems with the speedometer and cruise control
(if equipped).
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and
show your appreciation.
