My a518 is holdin back
Band adjustment will affect shift quality but not timing.A throttle pressure adjustment may be needed to correct this problem. The cable coming from transmission is located on the passenger side and is pulled by the throttle linkage.there is a locking tap that will release the cable housing and allow it to slide back and fourth. You will need to move it towards the the front of engine to decrease throttle pressure and make shifts earlier. If this has no effect you have a throttle valve stuck in the valve body inside tranmission and this indicates that thereis damage since this tranmission is not prone to sticking valves.Good luck!

David, thanks for choosing FixYa. Do you have a check engine light on? If so, have it scanned at Autozone. Have you checked to see if your timing belt/chain is slipping?

The connectors are slightly different depending on which radio system you have. The wiring schematics only say connector 1 and connector 2, so I can't tell you which is left and which is right. All the systems use the same pins for the hot wires, however. They are pin #6 and pin #7 in connector #1 They are (as you may have guessed by the numbers) right next to each other. Pin #6 is RED/WHITE and is hot only with the ignition switch in the ACCESSORY or RUN positions. It is protected by fuse # 12 in the Fuse and Relay Box (Under the left side of the dash). It is a 10 Amp fuse. Pin #7 is PINK and is hot at all times. It is protected by fuse #F2 in the Power Distribution Center. (In the engine compartment, left side) It is a 5 Amp fuse.
Put on new water punp and theromstat still take
Confirm the Thermostat you replaced it with. Same heat rating? Also, when it finally does warm up, does it stay within the normal operating range? If it's "overheating" then you still have a flow/blockage issue (heater core, hose, engine block etc)..
Heater does not blow cold or hot air. How can I
On the passenger side, near the top of the engine compartment firewall, is a rectangular plate with wires plugged into it. This is the blower motor speed control. It is a fairly common failure/problem. Pull the electrical plug off, undo the two screws, pull it out of the firewall and get a new one at your nearest autoparts store (about $20).
