If the control panel is in a/c or defrost mode then this is a normal condition. If the control panel is off then the condenser fan relay may be bad and the contacts are stuck on.

Need info on heater mode door operation

The mode door actuators are reversible, 12-volt direct current (DC) servo motors. The heating-A/C systems on this vehicle use two mode door actuators. One for the panel/floor-air door and one for the defrost-air door.

Both the defrost door actuator (1) and the panel/floor door actuator (2) and the are located on the driver side end of the HVAC housing (3), close to the dash panel.

All actuators (1) are interchangeable with each other. Each actuator is contained within an identical black molded plastic housing with an integral wire connector receptacle (2). Each actuator also has an identical output shaft with splines (3) that connects it to its respective door linkage and three integral mounting tabs (4) that allow the actuator to be secured to the HVAC housing. The mode door actuators do not require mechanical indexing to the mode-air doors, as they are electronically calibrated by the A/C-heater control. OPERATION

The mode door actuators are connected to the A/C-heater control through the vehicle electrical system by dedicated two-wire leads and connectors of the HVAC wire harness. The mode door actuators can move the defrost-air door and the panel/floor-air door in two directions. When the A/C-heater control pulls the voltage on one side of the motor connection high and the other connection low, the mode-air door will move in one direction. When the A/C-heater control reverses the polarity of the voltage to the motor, the mode-air door moves in the opposite direction.

When the A/C-heater control makes the voltage to both connections high or both connections low, the mode-air door stops and will not move. The A/C-heater control uses a pulse-count positioning system to monitor the operation and relative position of the mode door actuators and the mode-air doors. The A/C-heater control learns the mode-air door stop positions during the Actuator Calibration procedure and will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for any problems it detects in the mode door actuator circuits.

The mode door actuators are diagnosed using a scan tool (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/HVAC - Diagnosis and Testing).

The mode door actuators cannot be adjusted or repaired and must be replaced if inoperative or damaged.

2006 ram 1500 windshield washer quit working, wipers are fine, all fuses are fine washer motor is fine, is there a relay? if not how does one go about repairing switch on turning signal system?

alldata.com ,its there, log in. (schematic and chapter wash/wipe) same with FSM the controls are dead, nice work use a real meter to find no 12vdc to motor , on. so its back up from there. time. i have no access to my accounts (on vacation) but they can be a relay, and other fuses. before getting hit by fly air bags, (defeat them) we use same meter key on,see if all fuse are hot left and right side. so we know for a FACT no others are blown. see? saves ripping dash apart just for a silly fuse. 1st things first.... some newer cars are more complex 2007 for Chrysler, like my jeep. they now have digital wiper switch, that sends a digital 0 to the BCM the BCM sees that(brain) and it commands the totally integrated power module to close the relay, (wash) i'm not saying yours is, but 06 is close, (i track evolution) when working on modern cars, the old days are gone no wash pump current flowing thru that dinky switch, !! ugly.... we use the FSM, the factory service manual or a clone the #1 all time clone is alldata.com , best because, runs on any browers, even LINUX, unlike others, and chiltons online is pathetic. here is the discount link 15 smackers. such a deal. http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.html no affiliations at all, just OPINION ,as always.

On my 2006 ram when I switch it to 4x4 the light

The warm garage check is not a bad idea, all in all if it still doesnt work you have a bad front axel 4X4 solenoid (POSSIBLY). Also check your differential fluid and your transfer case fluid. Old dirty fluid will cause the four wheel drive to be sticky and not engage properly. If the fluid is dark at all, change it ASAP. Good luck.
