how to locate and change egr valve?
The EGR, or exhaust gas recirculation valve, takes inert exhaust gasses
drawn from the exhaust system and reintroduces them into the combustion
chamber through the intake manifold. This process lowers the peak
combustion temperature and helps combat the formation of Nitrous Oxide
(NOx) in the exhaust.
I hope help you with this. Good luck.

I have a 05 Ram. I'm putting in a used 56049706AF overhead console. I have the pigtails only. I need the wiring diagram to show connections of the 4 wires to the display. They are:red, pink/blue, white/purple, black/2 white. there is a connector with extra circuits halfway down the driver's pillar. Thanks.
Here some wiring diagram...
Fig. Overhead Console, Page 01
Fig. Overhead Console, Page 02
Fig. Overhead Console, Page 03
Fig. Overhead Console, Page 04
Fig. Overhead Console, Page 05
And, here's some basic info. If you
have either: keyless entry, premium infinity stereo, or fog lights, then
you have the basic BCM for the overhead console.
There's 2 types of overheads:
OTIS (Overhead Traveling Information System)
EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center)
OTIS has two versions: 1 with Homelink and 1 without Homelink
OTIS modules have the name of the buttons written on the console
underneath the actual button.
EVIC modules ALWAYS have Homelink buttons, but they are also capable to
telling you other stuff like low washer fluid, they can allow you to
program your horn, lights, etc. It's a really nice module - BUT here's
where th BCM comes in (and I don't have enough info about the BCM and
the EVICs to know for sure): I have read on the internet that you might
have a BCM that cannot talk to an EVIC. If that's the case, you might
get some funny actions coming from the module readout.
Here's some part numbers for you:
If you just want to add the Homelink (garage door openers),
then you can use the following for 03+ --> 56049707AF
If you really want an EVIC, this part number was used by gc714 and
everything works except for the tire pressure monitors (but that is
because he doesn't have the tire pressure sensors on his wheels) -->
56045574AE
I know this is a little long, but I thought you might want some
information so you know what you're dealing with and maybe know what the
dealer guys are talking about. Other than suggesting you view
this wjjeeps.com/evic
Hope help with this.

I have a 2005 dodge 1500 with the 4.7 litre engine. The cruise control is intermittent. Sometimes you turn it on and the cruise light stays on for a bit and sometimes it shuts off within a second or so. Any ideas; without the cruise light on I have no cruise.

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.7l Hemi. It started running rough and the check engine came on. I had a mechanic friend hook it to his diagnostic computer and it said that the left bank was misfiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Usually you get a code that tells you which cylinder or cylinders are acting up.
The code means the cylinder (s) are not providing power but does not tell you why.
So you have to figure out if it is an ignition, compression, or fuel problem to proceed. Could also be a vac leak.
