For some reason, my windshield wipers on my 1992 buick lesabre limited edition, v6, Only move about two inches up the window, before going back down. I think that it is stuck in park, because the switch is bad, and it only runs when it is on high, and nothing else.. It sounds like it is clicking on something, so it doesnt do the full rotation inside the pump of the motor.. Can I just take off the black cover, see where it gets clicks to stop it, and cut it off, that way they will work.. and I dont have to spend the money to have the switch done, which is very expensive I might add..
The arm is probubly loose on the motor...I had the same problem...open the vent area below the windshield under the hood ...remove the drivers side wiper arm and see if the motor is completely turning...if so check the connector arm is on and tight..the pivot ball may have worn oblong...or it just loosened up...pretty easy fix

My 1992 Buick lesabre must be a little low on freon. It still requires r12 which I can't buy anywhere. It's cooling ok but not like it should. What all do I need to do to convert it over to 134a?
I think you can still find the old R12 at a premium price. It would be worth it if your air con system holds well with no significant leaks. Genuine 12 Refrigerant LARGE SIZE 2 14 oz Cans
The old refrigerant and oil are not compatible with the new stuff. The expansion valve is questionable, may or may not work properly. The oil in the compressor, in the evaporator, in the condensor, and in the accumulator/filter/dryer need be removed thuroughly. New service port adapters are installed. Then the new R134 can be introduced. You may find a conversion kit with instructions.
I recall a bulletin calling for replacing the oil and reusing the refrigerant, repeatedly, 2-3X, the final oil replacement gets the new refrigerant.
When ever the system is exposed to the atmosphere, it should be evacuated before refilling. So much to think about and consider.

what is dynaride?
Dynaride means that your rear shocks have electronic level control. There is a sensor mounted to the rear suspension. If you add some luggage or persons to the car the rear lowers. The sensor senses this down movement and starts the air compressor which is mounted in under the hood (left fender area). This compressor pumps air into the rear shocks compensating the additional load, so the car remains at proper level all the time. If you start the engine with a delay of about 20 secs the compressor should run for a view seconds to build up the minimal pressure the system needs. If the engine is stopped also with some delay of 30 sec. the release valve opens to vent out all the air.

OR WHICH FUSE IS FOR HEATER BLOWER
the fuse is in panel with other fuses, however it will say a\c instead of heater. You may want to use a test light to check for voltage at the blower motor plug. To see if current is going to the fuse. Check the other fuses too. since they are linked in parallel to the the acc auto climate .

Hello, my neighbors have been having problems with their car and they replaced a sensor (that I do not remember the name to, sorry) and got the car to work again. Well on a small trip this morning on their way home the car just died on them. I stopped over this morning with a sensor device made by GM that a friend let me borrow for my car which also has the famous "service engine soon" light
After running the program I got a few trouble codes:
12, 13, 23, 31, 41, 58, 62.
and I know code 12 just means the diagnosis code is working but am unsure of the rest of the codes. Could I get a hand on this please because I can not find anything on the net.
Thanks in advance!

1992 Buick LaSabre. Automatic. 136K mi. Accelerating, driving over 60, or going up a mild incline gives an intermittent hesitation. Puh, puh, puh, and loss of power. Mid grade fuel helps a little. High grade fuel offers no additional help. Driving next to a wall, I do hear pinging. Gidagidagidagida. But it seems to be able to ping without necessarily the hesitation. Driving up an incline, I get both. GidagidagidaPuh.. GidagidagidaPuh.. GidagidagidaPuh.. GidagidagidaPuh..
I thought about changing the knock sensor. But it is expensive. No check engine light. Is there a way to test the sensor? Is it possible for the sensor to be bad without a check engine light? Has anybody fixed this same problem?
Peter
The knock is caused by either timing issue or a lean cylinder condition, have you checked the fuel pressure?? has the fuel filter been changed?? A bad knock sensor will not set a light unless it is open or disconnected.

The ac is blowing hot air but is full of r134a refrigerant. Was told I need to replace the orifice tube and vacuum the hose, but do not know where the orifice tube is at. Please help.
The orifice tube is located inside the liquid line where it connects to the condenser. This line is located on the passenger side of the car and has the low side charge port on it. this line unscrews right where the orifice tube is located... Hope this helps

1992 Buick LaSabre. I can't find anything that looks like an EGR valve. There is nothing near the exhaust or intake manifolds with either an electric or vacuum control attached. The only possibility is a small rectangular block bolted on under the air intake. Is that it? What controls it? Or where is the EGR and what does it look like?
The EGR valve may have a protective cover on it:
After removing the cover, the egr valve is beneath, you will need to remove retaining clips to remove the egr valve.
