1992 Buick LeSabre - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Starts and runs good for15seconds then cuts off,Must wait to restart.
I have to ask? How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes?
As far as spark at the spark plugs, check the ignition module. Check voltage to ignition module with key on, pink wire with black tracer. If no voltage, check fuse circuit, fuse 6--20amp in relay center. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage.
During cranking rpms, it is the ignition module that controls spark, but, it has to see rpm signal, which comes from crank sensor. At the moment, I can't be positive which component or exactly where the fault lies.

Show me main ignition relay
Can you tell us the problem? Do you not have spark at the plugs? Does the starter motor not work?
My database does not show a, "main ignition relay".
Is there a security system on this vehicle?
Does my Buick LeSabre 1992 have chassis lubrication points?
lubrication points will be ball joints and "U" joints
I suggest that to enable you to successfully find all the points, that you have the local mechanic do the job and while he is at it to point out the locations to you so that next time you can do it your self
How do I convert from r12 to 134a cooling refrigerant in a 1992 Buick Lesabre?
I think you can still find the old R12 at a premium price. It would be worth it if your air con system holds well with no significant leaks.
Genuine 12 Refrigerant LARGE SIZE 2 14 oz Cans
The old refrigerant and oil are not compatible with the new stuff. The expansion valve is questionable, may or may not work properly. The oil in the compressor, in the evaporator, in the condensor, and in the accumulator/filter/dryer need be removed thuroughly. New service port adapters are installed. Then the new R134 can be introduced. You may find a conversion kit with instructions.
I recall a bulletin calling for replacing the oil and reusing the refrigerant, repeatedly, 2-3X, the final oil replacement gets the new refrigerant.
When ever the system is exposed to the atmosphere, it should be evacuated before refilling. So much to think about and consider.
Max air button does not respond
"MAX" ONLY puts the climate control in the RECIRC mode. Door modes change to " RECIRCULATE" interior cabin air back to be RE-COOLED, instead of using HOT OUTSIDE air to cool. If the problem is in the panel, complete replacement is required. Hope this helps
Why do TURN siganlcome on in side an out but donot blink at all?
Usually that's because of a bulb being out; the current through the flasher isn't high enough to heat the wire contact in the flasher. When you bought that flasher, there was most likely another brand that would flash no matter how many bulbs were loading it down; it uses a different method of timing the flashes, so you can add a trailer and still have a steady flash.
