2006 Ford Fusion inside door handle stopped working

The inside door handle on my 2006 Ford Fusion SEL no longer opens the door. The outer door handle still works. When the problem first happened, I tried opening the door and there was a "pop" and now the handle will not open the door.

The plastic door handle is broken.
You will need to get a replacement door handle.

This should help. It is a set of photographs and instructions to do the job of replacing the handle.

Good luck.

where is the pcv valve

where is the pcv valve located and how do I replace it on a 2006 ford fusion 4 cylinder?

Ford Fusion 2.3L 4 cyl. engine uses 5 W 20 engine oil. This engine has a serviceable filter for the VCT solenoid. The filter is accessed from under the valve cover.

At the intake cam thrust cap is a plug with an allen socket head. Remove the plug and the filter is under it. The base part number on the filter is 6C683. There is no specified mileage for replacement.

These engines also use electrically heated PCV valves. The heater in the valve is to prevent icing in the PCV and on the back of the throttle plate. The PCV heater circuits are monitored by the Engine Control Module (ECM) and will set an Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminating code if there is a circuit -related fault present.

1. Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine block and there you should see a neck where the hose is connected to the engine block.

2. Take the hose off by removing/loosening the clamp and pulling the hose off. Sometimes it's easier to use a screwdriver to pry the hose off. Be careful though not to damage the hose.

3. There should be 2 bolts on top off the housing. Take the bolts completely out and remove the housing from the engine block.

4. Remove the thermostat and gasket from the block and clean the location good with a wire brush. This ensures a good seal for the new gasket. Sometimes it helps to have a razor blade or other scraper to clean it with. Try not to score the metal when cleaning.

5. Installation is reversed. Some thermostats require a sealant to be used with the gasket, be sure to ask when you buy the thermostat.

6. Start vehicle and let it run for a little bit to check for leaks. If everything checks out, you are good to go.

no power to a/c compressor, I have checked the fuses, relays and freon.

The trigger from the dash switch activates the relay which in turn switches on the solenoid pulley to engage the compressor to work. If this circuit is traced the fault of a open circuit can be found out. If there is no power in the fuse or relay then the main wiring must be checked.
Also a failure of the solenoid clutch cannot engage the compressor and so the circuit to this section must be checked.

serpentine belt keeps coming off

Today is the4th time that the serpentine belt has come off on my 2006 Ford Fusion with a 4Cyl engine. Have had the valve cover gasket replaced due to excess oil on belt and the cover was leaking. Have had all the pulleys cleaned and the belt replaced twice since then. any ideas?

With the belt on. Look at it inline with it. Every pulley should be inline/straight. If one is slanted just a little it will throw the belt. The only other thing would be the tensioner is bad.
