tuneup & change fuel filter & air filter !!! change oil & filter ! spark plugs & plug wires and you should be good to go ! do it all or ?????

oil too low!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have some change your oil & filter immediately !!! drain radiator & coolant reservoir , refill w/ fresh 50/50 coolant , white smoke is not exactly a good thing ! it could mean coolant is mixing w/ oil , because of a possible leak from a bad gasket either from intake manifold or head gasket !!! water pump would not cause this ! I would bet on a gasket leak given the age of the car . 2000 ! 13 years old, how was it maintained, intake gaskets are cheaply made, head gaskets are made well ! so, my bet, goes to the intake manifold gasket !!!!!!good luck kristle !

look underdash near steering colum, or under the hood on drivers side

Try changing the ignition switch.

does it look like coolant, your radiator may have a hole in it, or the side tanks could be cracked, made of plastic, or the drain cock is loose, take to a radiator shop, but have someone else look @ it, to verify the problem.

Check around for a "radiator tester". I have one, but I'm in Florida. It is a thing that attaches to the top of the radiator, and it has a pump handle and you pump it up and it will show you where your leak is by pressurizing your radiator. Some places would test it for you, if you have nice mechanics. Be blessed.

there colored links that need to align to the dots on the cam sprockets, if all 3 alignment marks correspond to there colored links, you have the alignment right. need anything further let me know, as i have done a number of the 2.7 u motor

when was it tested at oreillys? was it before it died and failed to restart? if so you could have more than one problem the scanned problem is definitely an O2 sensor but the failing to restart could be from many other reasons. replace the o2 sensor see if it refires. if it does not there are 3 basic things to follow when a vehicle fails to start. does it get a spark, does it get air and does it get fuel. figure out what it is not getting and investigate why and you will find your answer.

sounds like the ac compressor may be locked up when defroster is turned on..there is a disconnect by the ac ompressor pulley that can be unplugged and the belt should turn free..defrost will work but need to check the compressor before its needed in summer..replace if needed..

thermostat faulty or engine coolant very low.if coolant not low more likely thermostat bad it is restricting coolant flow to engine and radiator causing engine overheat.

Hi! May I ask when was your last engine oil change? Maybe now is the time. When the oil is burnt it makes annoying noise coming from the engine plus a poor performance can be expected. I suggest that you have an oil change and please do check on the radiator fan. If the fan motor is weak it makes the engine hot and run sluggish. Please write back and tell me how it goes.
