Cant get key switch out of housing, on a 1974

If you mean remove the ignition tumbler from the steering column, you will have to remove the steering wheel and lock plate, then you will need to remove the turn signal lever and screws, and then pull the turn signal switch up and out of the way, you should then be able to see the housing for the ignition tumbler down in the steering column. Look at the tumbler housing and there should be a small slot towards the end of the housing that you can put a small standard screwdriver into and depress a locking latch that is built into the tumbler. When this latch is depressed you will be able to pull the ignition tumbler straight out of the column.

What are the largest tires can i fit on my stock

depending on what you are looking to do with your truck. 2 sizes larger then stock listed. Wheel changes? 205 >215 16" plus 2 > 215>225 etc
17" with same results , remember though,,the manifactor intended these sizes for a reason. Too much outside bearing pressure will set off the complete stability of the drive train

I have an 1986 chevy c30 pickup i have no tail

Do you have dash lights? If you don't then the problem with the tail lights is a bad headlight switch. Tail and dash lights are on the same circuit. If the dash lights are working then you will have to go to the connector under the box on the driver's side just behind the bumper. Chances are there is corrosion there. It could be in the connector but is more likely to be at the back where the wires go in. Use a test light on both sides of the connector to check. You should have 4 wires, brown for tail lites, yellow for driver's blinker, dark green for other blinker and light green for back up. Also check and probably repair the black ground wires. Make sure they are clean bare metal and so too the place where they ground on the body. If this doesn't work, pull the wire harness out of the box and check it carefully for cracks in the insulation where it could ground out or breaks in the wire. Hope this helps.
