2002 chevy silverado 1500 has an ignition recall? ?

I found several Tech Bulletins about the many problems these have, but no recall. The joke is when the Chevy garage goes on a service call for a 2002 with flickering warning lights and no start they take Two switches with them. One for the vehicle they're servicing and the other for the truck they're driving. I hope this helps. Take care. If you have more questions for me use testimonial and it will show up in my email. Thanks

Why does it continue to spit and sputter going uphill?

Spit and sputter can happen because of not enough fuel or air. last thing to check for fuel is the fuel pressure regulator. On the air side would be the the air filter(filthy) or catalytic converters(clogged). on the mechanical side, Could be bad rings, burnt valves. Compression test would find this.

My 2002 chevy silverado 4x4 will not disengage

The issue is usually loaded gears. The secret is to try circles, one way and then the other. This preload is why 4x4 is supposed to be used on loose surfaces....The gears will disengauge after they unload.
