I HAVE A 1988 CHEVY VAN G20 5.7 I CHECKED TIMEING
1/ Have you fitted the spark plug leads in the proper firing order.
2/ Look inside the top of distributor Top (this is not the first time a new distributer cap has very small crack) or the rotor arm is fitting the cap properly. Hope this helps Best Wishes, Malcolm Campbell.
5.0l. Where is MAP sensor located?
Should be on the passenger side of the intake. If you unplug it the engine RPM should change and the check engine light should come on. You would need a vac pump and an ohm meter to test it.
Won't back up very good
sorry to say but probably you are infor a rebuild usually reverse is on a separate band and probably needing rebuild
Brake line replacement/bleeding info
this might be more than you want to takle you can usually buy short lengths from part stores but if you need the full lengths you will need to buy it by the 25 foot roll you will need to double flange each side the parts store you are buying it from should asist I use oreillys then bleeding you must go furthest to the next furthest then down from that
Low power when accelerating
I thought the filter might be the issue here, on carb cars the engine tends to stall out with a plugged filter.
Please tell me were i can get the metal connectors
