while removing the upper intake manifold, I could not get the manifold loose, it is sticking in the center where I believe there is wiring and fuel lines the go to the underside of the intake.
I need to know the proper steps to remove the upper intake
Thank you

We have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with front and rear heating and a/c. Currently the hot air is not blowing out of the front even when the temp knob is turned to the hottest setting. I believe it may be the actuators. Where are the actators located and how can I get to them. Are they behind the glove box?
I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?

98 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 liter engine cuts out and misses. It happens when the engine is up to operating temperature and under load. At idle - after engine is warm - it runs rough sometimes, but when it is put into gear, it surges and runs rough. When it is cold it runs perfect...Replaced head gaskets - heads with new valves - lower and upper intake manafold and gaskets - fuel pump - fuel filter - A/C Delco spark plugs and wires - installed a billet Accel distributer - crank sensor - cam sensor - cat. converters - injectors upgraded - new TPS, MAP, IAC, IAT, CTS sensors - reflashed computer and had a relearn proceedure done to computer at the dealer. Compression is good. Can anyone help?
Have you checked for vaccume leaks?
You've got lots of parts in there, Has the problem been the reason you have replaced all of those, or did it come up while doing some of the repairs?

how to remove the retaining clip on the brake pedal and booster rod on a 98 chey tahoe
Bear with me on this. It's a relatively simple clip (once you know how to remove them) but somewhat difficult to explain properly via the internet. But here goes. It may help if you draw it like this:
On a piece of paper draw a half inch line (don't lift the pencil/pen) up to down. Go right an inch and a half, down 1/16, left 1 1/4, down 1/8. Place the eraser end of the pencil to right of the 1/8 up against the 1 1/4. Got it?
Should form a type of a "T". Insert a flat screwdriver between the top of the pencil and the clip. If you twist the screwdriver it will lift the 1/8 part of the clip over the eraser permitting you to slide the clip off the shaft.
All I could think of...Hope that helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

I need the fuel system diagram for a 1998 Chevy Tahoe w/ 5.7L gasoline engine
Dark green provides power to fuel pump relay from the ECU. Orange wire at fuel pump relay is power at all time and is provide from the ECM/Bat Fuse at fuse block (Left side of dash). It also connects to the fuel pump oil pressure switch. The grey wire at relay provides power to the fuel pump and fuel pum oil pressure switch. The red plug thats tape to harness from relay/fuse center is the prime connector..

4x4. What is the A.I.R. relay (mark eng) in the fuse/relay block..mine is missing. Does it effect tranny shifting?
That is an optional relay and would not affect the transmission.
