BRAKKE DRUMS REAR
The springs popped out of place or the adjuster went too wide. OR the wheel cylinders has expanded too far to allow the shoes to retract into place.(Squish them back in). The shoes may have slid out of alignment,also. New brake shoes? They are fatter than the old ones. back off the adjuster(Takes 2 screwdrivers)
STUMBLES
You will need to figure out if you are dealing with a fuel problem or ignition problem.If it feels like a spark miss, you would check the ignition system. If it feels like a lack of fuel, you would check the fuel pressure with a gauge, check for vac leaks, and test the throttle position sensor.
Using too much coolant
you shouldn't be going threw any coolant at all. with the ac on the cooling fan should be running when the ac s off the computer goes by the coolant temp sensor
When I step on the brakes in my astro van it dives
IF THE VAN IS PULLING TO ONE SIDE DURRING BRAKING THE SIDE IT IS PULLING TO IS THE GOOD SIDE THE OTHER SIDE THE CALIPOR IS EITHER NOT WORKING OR HUNG UP, WHAT I WOULD DO IS REMOVE THE WHEEL ON THE SIDE THAT ISN'T PULLING AND CHECK THE CALIPOR SLIDES, IF THEY LOOK GOOD AND SEEM TO BE MOVING FREE THEN I WOULD REPLACE THE CALIPOR. HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCK
Ignition coil
if you follow your spark plug wires from the plug they will lead to the distributor. on the distributor there should be a wire in the center. follow it to the coil
Where is the fuse box on Chevrolet astro 1997
Its right in back of the break pedal its a black box you wont be able to see right away its about 4 inches by 4 inches the top pulls forward and down there you will see the fuses and the extra fuses and a puller tool (white plastic) and a diagram of where the fuses go. Good luck
