1995 chevy astro head bolt torque and pattern
cast iron cylinder heads ,so you can crank them down a bit more ,75/80lbs will suffice pull down with a rachet first then go over with the torque wrench and pull to 60 ,starting in the middle two bolts, then one to the right and one to the left next one to the right then the next one to the left and so on ,then repeat at 70lbs then 80lbs ,not sure but i think these older vehicles need the tappets adjusting ,they are not hydraulic adjusters but i could be wrong or getting confused with jeep .
My 1995 Chevrolet Astro-van turns over but won't start
chk. fuse and relay for fuel punp. if that chks. out ok, then you will have to do a fuel pressure test. but after reading your problem, i'am almost positive its your fuel pump. make sure, do the fuel pressure test. all major auto parts stores carry the kit for pressure test, and they also will show you wear and how to hook it up, and what the pressure it should have. good luck.
Yes i have tried everything to get a 1995 chevy
if you don't know which is the compression stroke, there's an easy way, but it may require extra hands to help. remove the number 1 spark plug, put you finger over the spark plug hole to where it seals the hole. turn the crankshaft clockwise, on the intake stroke you'll feel piston sucking air in, pulling on your finger. then it should start blowing air out the plug hole, hard enough where its hard to keep your finger covering the hole. this is the compression stroke. when the piston gets to the top of this stroke, the rotor inside the distributor should be lined up (or at least very close) to the corresponding number 1 on the distributor cap. if its 180 degrees off, you'll have to pull distributor out and realign it.
Broken alternator mounts
you need to tighten alternator little bit on each screw till they both are tight, otherwise the plastic mounts will break one day, serpentine belt will come off,a mess! Pro One automotive in Whitehouse,Tx screwed me over that way,
Door handle
Once you've removed the door panel, you can see the 2 bolts holding it in place, also, there's a rod that goes to the actuator & that needs to be carefully removed.
The door panel has to be carefully removed by taking any trim pieces off first, remove any retaining screws, then it is carefully removed by inserting tools behind it to pry out on the retainers. Once the few screws are removed and the retainers are popped loose, you have to push upward to get the window edge at the top to clear it's mounting location & then it's removed.
I always recommend a manual with all of the pictures to give you exploded views of what you are taking apart. There are many manuals available at your local auto-parts store to give you specific instructions on removing these components.
You can find these replacement handles on eBay or at the dealer:

i dont know what that code is but i do know that those enigines have a bad problem with fuel leaks under the upper intake what happeins is the plastic type line that go to your injectors crack or just break and then they leak and then the van runs like poo. if you take the 30 min it take s to get the upper intake off to inspect the lines for leaks if there are broken line or bad o-rings you can buy that whole injector kit. its pretty simple. this is some thing that i would check. good luck.
My 95 Astro Van won't start, i think the fuel pump
this is what happens, somtimes you dont get a warning, and sometimes you do,hears a trick, have someone try to start the van while you beat on the bottom of feul tank see if it starts if so then replace the pump, many times the bad pump will start if itsw jared around enough to make contact, hope this is helpful.
I'm replacing the door handle on my 1999 Chev.
take the door card/trim off and put your hand inside and pull the cable or lift it at the back of the lock, you have not put it back correctly check the small bars are in the correct position. either way you will have to remove the door trim its an easy fix but can take a while depending on any lock covers or motors inside the door.
hope this helps
How do you change EGR valve?
Hi ,he easiest way to change it ..is to take your inner cover off your motor ....it's usually on the right hand side of your vehicle,on the passenger side ,behind the engine cover ...code in diagnostics,is P1406 ,you will need a few different size wrenches and possibly a good pair of vise grips ...i suggest spray it first with some penetrating oil spray it first ....good luck ..if you need any more help ...feel free to ask....bye for now Joe
