1994 Chevrolet C1500 Questions & Answers
My heater just stopped working on my 94 chevy
the hot water line from the engine goes through a valve that is controled by the temp control on your dash, older ones were cable control, the newer ones are usually vacuum controled, look for a vacuum leak at valve or dash control
My 94 Silverado pulls very
You could have a bad tie rod end, Idler arm, pitman arm, wheel bearing or ball joint. All of these will normally cause a vibration also. Check by jacking the front end one side at a time and moving the tire back and forth on front and back and in and out on top and bottom. Either watch or have someone else watch the steering assembly for movement and where it is. If there is no unusual movement, it is more than likely an alignment problem or tire problem.
I have a 1994 Chevrolet C1500 Pickup I have no
That is a lot of stuff not working. That is three separate circuits. Although the brake lamps and the turn signals all go through the multifunction switch, a bad multifunction switch would not explain why the running/park lamps are not working because they do not go through the multifunction switch on your truck. With all that said, the only thing I can find in common with all 3 of these circuits is ground # G410. If this ground is bad or broken, none of these circuits will work.G410 bolts to the left frame rail just forward of the rear bumper. There are 3 or 4 wires that should be connected to it. Check and make sure that it is not corroded or broken. I have seen a few where I had to cut the wire ends and install new ends, then grind out a clean spot in the frame and drill a new hole for a bolt to go into because the original ground point was completely unusable due to corrosion.
I need plug firing order
The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 On the drivers side it's 1-3-5-7 from the radiator to the firewall. On the passenger side it's 2-4-6-8 from the radiator to the firewall. The rotor rotates clock wise and #1 plug wire is towards the #7 Cylinder and #2 plug wire will be to it's right towards the #8 cylinder. Good luck and hope this helps. keep me posted ant this is for the 5.7 liter and 7.4 liter.
HOW TO ADJUST THE TIMING ON A 1994 CHEVY 1500?
WITH ENGINE OFF,LOCATE TIMING BYPASS CONNECTOR,TAN WIRE WITH BLACK STRIPE.IT WILL BE LOCATED ON PASSENGER FIREWALL OR PASSENGER SIDE UNDER DASH IN FRONT OF OR BESIDE BLOWER MOTOR.DISCONNECT WIRE.START ENGINE AND SET TIMING TO O DEGREES BY LOOSENING AND TURNING DISTRIBUTOR AND USING TIMING GUN.RETIGHTEN DISTRIBUTOR AND DOUBLE CHECK TIMING.IF STILL GOOD ,SHUT OFF MOTOR AND RECONNECT TIMING BYPASS CONNECTOR.DRIVE TRUCK AT PARTIAL THROTTLE AND LET OFF BACK TO IDLE TO TEACH COMPUTER.IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A TIMING GUN YOU ATTACH TIMING WIRE TO #1 CYLINDER WHICH IS DRIVER SIDE FRONT.HOOK POS AND NEG WIRES OF GUN TO BATTERY MAKING SURE TIMING WIRE ON GUN IS FACING TO THE SPARK PLUG. HOPE THIS HELPS
New battery & starter. Have lights horn radio
Assuming the engine has not siezed, there is a short in the starter circuit. Probably the starter/solenoid, but you can verify. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then the big red wire from the starter solenoid. Wrap the wire terminal tom prevent shorting, reconnect the battery terminal and try again. If nothing happens this time, replace the starter/solenoid. If short is still present with starter unhooked, trace wire back from starter to find short. Let me know if you have more questions.
1994 silverado 4L60E transmission not wanting to shift corrrect
If you have not worked on a 4L50E transmission before, leave it to someone who is familiar with the the 4L60E. The solenoid is in the valve body and i know some who have put things back together and needed to take it apart again over something simple as a servo pin in revers. Best thing to do is get the truck scanned at Auto Zone free of charge or at a transmission shop with a tech 2 scanner for DTC codes. If there is a bad throttle body sensor or it's misaligned, it would affect your transmission's performance. The throttle body sensor send's signals to the ECM which calculates the amount of transmission fluid pressure though out the shift points, if that signal is bad then your shift points and firmness will be affected. There is also a cheap and great performance upgrade for around $50.00. You have a Transmission shop swap out the servo's for a Corvette servo's, it can be done in 30 min with out taking the transmission down or removing the transmission oil pan off.
Recap, have the transmission fluid and oil changed and have the throttle body sensor tested. It should show a smooth gradual increase in resistance with out any fluctuation. You truck is 15 years old and it may have a dead spot on the sensor now and it may need to be replaced. Good luck and keep me posted, Be glad to help and you can also have the transmission shop do a transmission pressure line test.
I have a lowered 94
You have to adjust the sifter rod that's in the engine compartment next the steering column .
I have a 1994 1500
Before you go tearing up the transmission. Check tp sensor (throttle position sensor). Keep in mind transmissions also have electronic parts that govern shift patterns . Signals sent to the truck's computer from sensors govern when it shifts. I would check sensors and wiring to those sensors first before tinkering with a transmission.
Have a 94' chevy pickup.
Flush the system and look for contaminants. If there is a bleed on the proportioning valve, also flush there. If there are contaminants, your master may need to be replaced. If not, maybe the proportioning valve has failed again.
My 94 Chevy c1500 v6 pickup truck is having issues
The only thing I know of, on a gasoline engine, that will bite you is secondary ignition voltage. What about your ignition coil? If the vehicle will run, raise the hood in the dark, look for fire/spark jumping around.
Can u tell me if cylenders on a 1980 chevy 350 5.7
You have the numbers right but the actual firing order is 18436572 likely why they are in what appears to be a "different order" That order is how the wires are connected at the cap. # 8 will be the one after #1 in the direction the rotor turns etc.
