2006 Chevy Equinox Heater not working

Could you be more specific on what was fixed? and i would start by checking your fuses, do you hear any sounds when turning all the knobs? sometimes you can hear the heater flaps moving around when adjusting temp, the fuse for the fan probably is blown.

Driver side power window and lock not working

Check the electrical connections for you control switches...there should be at least two of them. Disconnect them and see if there are any recessed pins or dirt. Do this several times as there may be some oxidation on the connectors and doing this will help clean them off. The radio and door light works of the small limit switch on your door frame. Everything else works through the operators window/door lock control panel.

Have a 2006 equinox lt.

Looking at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in the starter circuit's an testing with a DMM - digital multi-meter is how you go about diagnosing this . Free wiring diagram's here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue like. Looking at the diagram i see a starter relay ,ignition switch , PCM - engine computer ,the starter . The starter should have only two wire's , heavy gage red - this is B+ voltage for the starter . A smaller gage purple wire - this is the control wire . Do you know how a relay work's ? video's on youtube showing how . If the computer see's an input from the park neutral safety switch on no anti-theft system problems it will supply a ground for the starter relay , sending B+ voltage to the starter solenoid engaging the starter an spinning the engine over .

I have a 2006 chevy equinox. the ignition key is stuck in the all the way back position and nothing works. could not even unlock the car with spare key

Attempt to squirt some aerosol graphite lock oil into the lock past the key. Wear goggles so splash stays out of eyes. Once sprayed, carefully attempt to wiggle and gently work the key out. Best of luck, if the key is removed, be sure to use graphite lube regularly, especially at the first sign of insertion / extraction resistance.

Controls on steering wheel of 2006 Chevy Equinox don't work

That's usually the sign of a bad clockspring--a spool of flexible cable that winds and unwinds as you turn the wheel and carries the signals from the switches and airbag. You have to remove the steering wheel to get at the parts.
