Check your transmission fluid. This is a common transmission code. Torque converter clutch not locking up. You may or may not notice a difference in the driving. but defininately dont let the issue go without further investigation. the result in this light could cost you a transmission if you drive it too long without repair.

If we keep killing batteries

Try starting the motor and then remove the negitive battery cable while running, If your car dies your alt. is bad. If your alt. was good it would be able to keep the engine running. Batteries are only for starting. If it stays running you might have a draw or short in the cars wiring and you would need a multi meter to check for draws. Or hate to say a shop. I hope this helps ya

What is a flange and where is it located on the 2002 pontiac sunfire

Hi, We need more info. A 'flange' is not a specific part. If the check engine light is on, take it to an auto parts store and have them 'read the codes' to find out why the light is on. Call ahead to see if they store does it for free. GL, Td

Car shuts off after a few seconds

So before you spend any money, I would check your shut-down relay- it might need to be replaced. Go to your fuse box on your car and find the shut-down relay and replace it with another one in there. For instance, if the air-conditioning relay is the same size, switch it onto your shut-down relay spot and see if your car works. If it does, then just go grab a new relay at your auto-parts store. If thats not it, then I would definitely assume its the temperature sensor (ETC) which is located near the thermostat that twists onto your engine. It doesnt matter what the temperature is outside; if your ETC isnt working, it wont let your car continue running. Hope this helps!

Overheating when I use the heater

What you say is practically impossible as switching on the heater increases the amount of cooling, increases the amount of heat lost to atmosphere. Take away more heat from the engine and the temperature should fall. The only thing that occurs to me is water circulating through the heater and back into the engine is moving the cooling water in a different direction; to the heater hot water outlet instead of the top hose and this brings water of a higher temperature into contact with the sensor...
