2000 Montana van dies while running
before u replace any parts u need to have the electronic engine control tested for trouble codes, this is the 1st thing that any shop does to know where to start the repair and diagnosis. Most likely u have a defective crankshaft position sensor, but have the test run..
2000 pontiac montana power window|locks doesnt
I had a 99 with the same problem, and suggest you check under the passenger side front carpet. Remove the flat door kick plate, lift up the carpet on the front passenger side floor and you will see a large wiring harness running along the floor, wrapped in black tape. Water and salt gets into this harness and will rot out several wire splices that you will see. Look for wires that run from 2 wires down into one (under black tape.) These are spliced together, and rot out. There was several large gauge wires/splices(windows up and down) and I think 2 very thin wires/splices (lock/unlock) . Even if the wires look connected, give them a good tug, they will come apart and be green with corrosion. This is a very common problem and worth the effort to check out. Repairing these splices fixed both the power windows and locks at the same time. Good luck
When i press on the gas peddle the car hesitates
I think your car is runing Lean and i would say check the Mass air flow sensor and the fuel system because your car seems like its sucks more air then fuel. Do you have any check engine light on ?
Light is on and pressure bell is ringing. oil is
MOST(!) of the time, it is the pressure sensor that has failed. If the engine does not seem overly loud (it will, without any oil pressure), I would say this is your problem.
If you aren't sure you can recognize the sensor (it will normally have a single wire and a hex fitting for removal), I suggest you buy a manual for your Montana and the pressure sensor at the same time. I like Haynes manuals and they can be found on line, at eBay or sometimes, even at a local library.
If, however, your engine IS loud, it shouldn't be driven under its own power at all until the source of the failure is found.
2000 Pontiac Montana wont start, no power to vehicle
I suspect an ignition switch problem, you need to check to see if when you try to start it if there is power to the signal wire at the starter. If there isn't, check the same wire at the ignition switch, if there still is no power, check to make sure the grounds from the firewall are secure and they have near zero resistance between the firewall and the negative battery post. Check to make sure there is power getting to the ignition switch, if there is none, then you have a broken fusible link under the hood
2000 pontiac montana Brake light and Trac off stay on
No.The brake warning light could be telling you there is a problem with the hydraulic brake system or the parking brake. The trac off light is saying there is a problem with the brakes or engine and the traction control system is disabled.
