2000 Ford Contour Questions & Answers
Looking for oil pressure sending unit in 2000 Ford Contour SE.
Oil pressure sensor or switch has to be connected to the main oil gallery and it is generally most convenient screwed into the oil filter head or the gallery side of the cylinder block - you omitted to say whether your car has an oil pressure gauge?
If there is a gauge the light might be switched by the gauge itself or if the gauge is electronic and computer driven, the computer might be switching on the light.
It is worth checking the vehicle handbook or a wiring diagram to be certain what you have and how it works.
Some vehicles are no longer fitted with an oil pressure light and other vehicles have a light for the oil pressure and another for temperature and/or oil filter blockage.
Low oil pressure light on shouldn't be taken lightly and if a replacement switch/sender doesn't cure it, you should have an oil pressure test carried out asap.

I'm running my ford Contour 2000 and the a/c cools
Your high side pressure is to high. The refrigerant needs to be operating at the right pressures in order for the air-con to function properly:
If the pressure is too low, there is risk of compressor damage in addition to lack of cooling
If the pressure is too high, the effectiveness of cooling diminishes at the very least
To avoid hitting issues related to this, modern air-conditioning circuits are equipped with a pressure switch/sensor. Its job is to protect the system from self-destruction by preventing the AC from running under the wrong conditions.

Shift erratic goes on and off from gears like electrical problem
It sounds like trans problem but a throttle position sensor would be the part that you are gingerly feathering to get results. This is a part attached to the side of the metal air horn and you can use a Websearch to see how to replace that part. Find out if the parts store would let you return that electrical part if it does not immediately fix your problem. It is a start and is a lower priced part if you did not need it,
Some of the electric shift problems can be from plug-ins that connect the wires to the transmission, or internal trans problems. Check trans fluid levels. If high mileage clean fluid and filter change in trans would possibly help.
There are some designs in electric controls that even a burned out light bulb in the dash can change the electric values that affect shifting in a 4 wheel drive.

Radio not working
Did you check to see if you wired it the same way you removed it? Make sure you are wiring it the exact same way as it was initially.
