check brake light fuse. if ok. check to make sure you have dcv at brake pedal brake light switch mounted on brake pedal. if there is voltage present depress brake pedal and dcv shold be present on other terminal of brake pedal switch. if not replace brake pedal switch

First make sure you have spark. Change the oil, remove spark plugs, disable spark and fuel system, turn engine over to build oil pressure, check compression in each cylinder, reassemble and start. It sounds like you flooded it enough to ring wash it and loose compression. Make sure you find out what caused the no start situation, valve timing, spark, etc...

Hi.. I had a very similar problem recoverrd to are workshop by the A.A around a month ago.
Exactly the same problem (left to cool started.? Once worm or hot engine just turning over ?)
Afdter reading all known folts and finding nothing to do with what I'd wanted. It took some time ?
Cutting it sort if found when I replaced a intermittent faulty fuel relay and run till engine hot (untill cooling fan cut in) Then turned off engine .. on turning key to see if this had cured my problem?
The engine started frist turn of key after repeating this a number of times .. this car was now starting fine (whether hot or cold)
Problem fixed..

It sounds like the common ground connection for the control panel is electrically broken.
Since the ground path is broken, electrical current back feeds through other things on the control board causing it act like it lost it's mind.
Usually caused by corrosion of the circuit by moisture due to AC condensate collecting in ducts under dash. There is a drain for this and they often plug up causing problems in cabin area. Check this too while you're at it.

If you can get a wiring diagram or schematic, try to jumper out the the grounding circuit with another electrical test cable with small alligator clips on either end.
If problem abates, that's the issue and just add additional wire around the corroded circuit one, which would be very difficult to repair.
