2.5l. Why is there no compression on rear cylinder head?
There is two types of engine when considering the matter of timing belts and chains...
Non-interference engines.
Interference engines.
Most petrol engines built in the last four decades are interference types and all diesel engines ditto.
An interference engine is where the pistons and valves share the same space making it very important that everything happens at exactly the right time - when the timing belt or chain breaks on an interference engine the best outcome is usually a couple of slightly bent valves because piston to valve contact is inevitable.
With some engines a broken belt or chain is a complete disaster, totally writing off an engine...
The periodic replacement of the timing belt is very important.

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to get manuals from, and they have all models online.
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.
I have a 2000 mazda millenia s with a 2.3L
Mazda did once use a supercharger of a very unusual design that used pressure waves from the exhaust to create depressions in the chambers of a rotating honeycomb. The one I saw was belt drive and because the belt was slipping slightly the supercharger was out of synch with the crank and the loss of power was dramatic. Replacing the belt and correctly tensioning it restored full power.
Maybe your car has this type...
Problem with TCS on Mazda 2000 Millenia S
i dont see any such code 1118, BUT, 1526/1540 is classic. 1526 is the vent solenoid circuit, and 1540 is the abv. these solenoids live on the back of the motor, right next to the egr valve. there is a row of 4, you are concerned with 2 and 4, going from right to left. i would first replace both, since they tend to go out around the same time. they control the abv, which controls boost. if this valve/circuit is not operating correctly, the pcm puts the car in "limp home" mode; will not rev over 3k, and tcs off/tcs lites come on. if you want to, ohm the solenoids when hot. normal is about 26, above 30 or 0, and they are bad. but from your description, i know they are bad.

I'm not familiar with your car ... but does it have ordinary ht ignition leads, or colour coded ignition wires?
If it has colour coded ignition wires - each wire is a different colour for each different plug.

My 2000 Mazda Millenia ran out of gas and after I put gas in it wouldn't start, what do you suggest?
I assume that you filled with the right grade of gas, not diesel. The simplest fix to try is to make sure that after filling there isn't
an air lock in the system as a result of running out of gas. There should be guidance available to allow you to bleed the system. Is there a service manual available that you could check? Any information available by contacting the manufacturer? Try to find an enthusist group.
