LJ You should find the PVC valve (positive crankcase ventilation) on the surface of the valve cover with a hose connected to it. Sometimes it's hard to spot but it's not to replace.

The speed resistor is open. The resistor is downstream of the blower motor and needs the fan to blow on it to cool it.

I assume this car has a warning light. You should have a mechanic remove the oil pressure sender unit and replace it with a gauge. This will show what is really going on. I suspect the sender is faulty. .

maybe you got the wrong sensor, but you shouldn't have to reset any thing

Are there any applicable trouble codes? What about your crank sensor? For cam sensor, my info says right front of engine, three wire connector, note the wire colors.

Should be a real easy job. Take out any screws you see holding the inside panel on. Then get under the panel and pry it away from the tailgate. You should be able to access the latch from there.

Do you have any codes or an engine light on, in your dash board ? Have you checked for spark at your plugs ? There are many things that could cause a vehicle to not start. Bad camshaft/crankshaft sensors. Poor ground wiring. Defective spark plugs or wires/coils.

Fill it with the gas can and then go to a gas station. Your gas can can't be much bigger than 5 gallons, there's very few that are larger because they get heavy. Your gas tank is vastly more than 5 gallons, probably 15 or more in an Envoy.
