1987 DODGE DAKOTA WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR WILL ONLY DO 20MPH

On this particular truck the transmission is known very well for the "Transmission overdrive section to fail". From your description it will probably need an overhaul, but caution: Is the truck worth it, these transmissions will cost anywhere from about $1400 up to maybe $2000 with parts and labor included. The transmission valve body is a common replacement also. Best of luck....

Rear window lifts and hardware

I got them from Pep Boys. Don't go to a dealer. Junk yards have lots of Jimmy/Blazer stuff. Ebay too.

No codes will not start

i would check for any LOOSE OR MISSING GROUND WIRES that were originally bolted to either the bellhousing/starter bolts or if the wiring harness that runs over the tranny and connects to tranny switches has been cut/damaged. you would be suprised how many problems can occur because of bad/ missing grounds!!

1999 GMC Jimmy will not crank when moisture in the air or raining. Cranks after several days of dry air.

What brand of distributor cap did you use? When you say it won't crank, do you mean it won't even turn over? Or just turn over and not start up?

Hub bearing

With the affected wheel in the air, one hand on the top of the tire, and one at the bottom, try to move the wheel back and forth towards you and away from you. If it's loose (more than an 1/8" of movement), yes you need a new wheel bearing hub assembly.

Bad oil leak driver side front fender

There is an adapter for the oil filter with 2 lines coming out of it above the drive shaft from the transfer case to the front differential. The O ring on these will go sometimes causing loss of oil. Also check the 2 lines for leaks and cracks.

you might have to replace the fuel pump as the small plastic gears need fuel to lubricate them and with out fuel they tend to mess up bad.
