I have a 2001 convertible mustang and my dash light were my gas gauge is and my speedometer are that light is out and I was wondering how I go about replacing it? Is it a fuse or a bulb? And I need to replace the fuse for the convertible top.... So if anyone knows which fuses these are I would greatly appreciate your help.. Thank You.

Sounds to me that your starter is gone. There is one thing you can do, try tapping ya starter and then try starting the car. If it starts then you have what is called a dead spot in ya starter. The only fix for this is a new starter. Make sure that you dont have a bad wire going to your starter also. Hope this helps.

It has to do with ya sending unit. There is a break in the wire in the fuel tank makeing it stay on. Or there could be a short in the wire that feeds the unit. The light will come on when it goes to ground. That is what makes the light come on.

sounds 2 things here. fuel pressure regulator or the idle air control valve. I an goingwith idle air control valve

What motor is in it?

Injectors may not be receiving signal to open, have you had your ECU Hooked up to diagnostics and checked the injector signal plugs?(you will need a set of injector test lights, these can be had in a kit for around 40 bucks on ebay, as for diagnostics you may need to take it to a ford dealership or service center if you don't have a diagnostic tool)

Hello Bob horse,The problem could be the radiator fan relay, or your "temperature sensor". Try switching the radiator fan relay with another identical relay out of the fuse block. If fan runs when engine temp gets to the right point, you found the problem. If not, it's more than likely your temp. sensor.

There are many sensors that could cause run ability problems when the car is in closed loop (warm) check coolant temp sensor, map sensor, maf sensor, throttle position sensor is the check engine light on? If so have the codes read this will give you a good place to start looking, remember the codes are general ideas where to check so for example the coolant temp sensor can be tested cold and again hot to see I'd it is measuring temperature properly if not replace it if it is fine and it was a ect code follow the wires inspect them and check resistance to be sure the wire doesn't have a fault, and check sensors that operate on voltage to make sure they are receiving enough voltage to operate

Undo the battery for 10 minutes, plug it back up, let the car sit for 20 minutes WITHOUT trying to start it, then try to start it. it should work.
