Rpm problems when warm
Most often this is from a vacuum leak around the injector base. You can spray a quick shot of liquid fire near the base pillar and listen for an increase in RPM's However, as this is a flameable product, if you aren't confidant in its use, you should just take it to a mechanic.

Vacuum routing in this vehicle is complicated, particularly with 4WD versions. The only place you will find complete information is in the genuine GM OEM Service Manual. There are still a few paper copies around - try Ebay, but beware - you need the ORIGINAL manual, not some second source that claims to be "equivalent" or "comprehensive".
Wipers
This is a very typical GM problem that is usually caused by a faulty logic module on the side of the wiper motor. You can pick up a replacement module at any parts store and easily replace it, but you will have to remove the wipers and the air intake panel at the windshield to get at the motor. Be sure to clean and lubricate the electrical contact land rings with dielectric grease once you have the old module off. If that doesn't work, the switch at the steering column is the problem and replacing that is a whole different issue. Because of difficulty and airbag safety issues, messing with the steering column should be left to an authorized mechanic.
What is the correct psi for ac system
This link refers to a 2000 Jimmy, but it's the best I've been able to find. If you're uncertain, it may be a good idea to post onto a Jimmy owners' forum and get advice from Jimmy enthusiasts.
1998 jimmy will not turn over battary and starter is good
What happens when you try to start it? Do you hear a small click or a heavy clunk? Is there a good connection between your negative post on your battery and ground? Between your positive post and the starter solenoid?
If you don't hear anything, the relay or the fuse for the power to the relay could be blown. Check the fuse, first, then the relay.
If those are fine, the neutral safety switch could be stuck or the connection may have come off. Try shifting back and forth a few times with the key on, then try cranking again. If nothing happens, you will need to check the connection and the relay. The simplest thing to do is to bypass the switch, which is mounted on your transmission. Disconnect the switch and connect a jumper across the connectors on the plug. If it cranks, the problem is your switch.
If you're hearing a click, but it doesn't crank and you know your starter is good, it could be the starter solenoid, mounted on the starter, or the wire going to it. You can check the solenoid by briefly connecting a jumper wire from the large positive post on the solenoid to the S terminal. Make sure the vehicle is in park with the brake on and the wheels blocked, as this will crank it over if the solenoid is ok and you have power and ground! If it makes a big clunk, but the engine does not crank over, your engine is seized, and you have serious problems to deal with.
How to add transmission fluid to a 1998 gmc jimmy
automatic or standard? Automatics have a dipstick, you use a funnel and pour it in through the dipstick tube, Standards have a bolt on the transmission you need to take out and fill it up till it can hold no more

Rear makes noise
If the little piece that is welded to the frame broke off from the frame, find a welder and have them weld them back up, shouldn't cost very much at all for a 10 minute job. However if the whole piece is broken, get a new one and have a welder weld it back up, cost a little more.
No 4wd
Most common problem is located under battery tray. There is a vacuum supply coming from top of Trannie going to a plunger style actuator that pulles the cable to activate the front diff. Either check for vacuum and fix or I've relocated plunger to top of motor so I can clamp with vise grips to activate 4*4
Fuel related
if its throttle body sys. the pressure is fine .
Starts fine after its ran and cut back off it wont start untill it sits a hour or two
Have you run any tests? The fuel line pressure and exhaust pressure are two that I would check first. First guess would be a clogged fuel filter (on the drivers side frame rail) or the sock at the fuel pump. But it could be something else. Is the engine light on? If so, can you have the codes read? The more information you can provide, the better. Any resent repairs that was performed or symptoms that you noticed.
